reception staff very helpful and friendly, rooms lovely, bed huge! The hotel seemed new. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful and all seemed local to the area. The rooms are very nice, modern and quiet with air con/ heating system. Nice sized bathroom with bath/shower and all the usual bits and bobs.... The beds (we had a super king) are fab!The hotel has free parking for guests and is a £5 taxi ride to the centre (around Debenhams area) - the hotel staff will happily book this for you. There is a garage across the road with free cash withdrawals and a McDonalds (for the hangover!) is just 5 minutes down the road. So overall we couldn't fault the location :)Highly Recommended

room was clean and comfortable, but no guide to the ammenities or surrounding area.Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The usual self service breakfast, though better priced than similar hotels, only problem was the toaster - had to put the toast through 3 times to get a decent colour, and the restaurant staff didn't seem bothered when I reported this.

This is an average hotel in a fairly lower class area of manchester, the hotel upon entering is pretty pleasant, the staff were ok. you should note that this hotel takes a pre authorisation of the full hotel fee and an extra 90 pounds in case you damage anything or order room service without paying. they failed to inform me of this, and 1 week later I am still waiting on my refund. I rang the hotel to ask where my money was and was told that the manager would ring me next day, still waiting - that was 4 days ago. I am a bit annoyed with this, I thought this group of hotels would have better standards - and it is not a bad hotel all in all other than a few tweaks and what I mentioned above.

SmokeyAlthough I had requested a non smoking room, teh room I was given was clearly not so. It smelt of stale smoke and now I have had to my suit and cost cleaned becasue of this. To be fair the receptionist did endeavour to change but advised all rooms were booked, selfishly on my part there was no explanation as to why I couldn't change with someone who had not booked in.

Not that near to city centre and very close to industrial buildings, high security fencing made it seem a little imposing and deserted. Although it would be great as near Manchester City Football ground. Went for a drink before heading into town in the bar but the drinks were undrinkable and we left immediately.

Helpful staff, ridiculously large bed, comfortable room, good bar - open late(!), close to the MEN; good to stay at if you are going to a concert.

considering only been open two years, carpets on landings were disgusting, food was a little suspect my partner enjoyed BLT and chips as room service, however my ham and onion chutney was on warm bread giving tepid ham which had ice crystals in one piece

I would really recommend this Hotel for anyone staying in Manchester. Not only is it reasonably priced but the service by staff members is excellent. The rooms were exceptionally clean and included various amenities and a service if you had forgotten your \"toothbrush\" or razor etc. They even gave a description of the pillows you could choose from! Both my daughter and I were impressed as they even had a section near Reception for internet use, and also numerous \"what's on\" brochures. We would definitely stay there again - and it will be recommended to family and friends for both business and leisure purposes.

New hotel, Nice room- on site parking- easy to find- modern decor- clean- friendly staff. I paid £69.00 for this room through laterooms.com which I feel is a good price for the quality of the accomodation on offer. The only downside is ...It would have been great to have breakfast included!

Hotel was very easy to find and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was obviosly an ex-smoking room as it did smell quite a bit!

Its between 6 to 10 pound in a taxi to get to centre of Manchester. Restaurant staff were marvellous!! They did try to make us pay £100 for room when we got it as a special for £9, however, as we took our form proving this they were fine!!

Room was clean, no significant defects. Airco present, but not required at this time of year. Bathroom has nice tile floor. No complaints about the room, although it looked quite larger on the pictures they put on internet.Breakfast was OK, but the rolls and croissants that were on the menu card were absent from the buffet.Hotel staff very friendly, helped me get at taxi in minutes.Overall good value for money if you can get a nice deal like I did. Normal full rate seems a bit high to me.
