Date of Stay: March, 2008

This Place is a Shit hole with a capitol S. Roof was leaking all over Building, even though it wasn't even raining outside. We requested a non smoking room, Room we got smelled like we were sleeping in the middle of an Ashtray. Went to the Hotel Bar for a night cap, There was a uniformed cop behind Bar (don't even want to know what that was about) Ordered two Beers,Payed for it with a twenty, Bartender tried to Give me Change for a t en. Tried to take Shower in Our Room ,Guess what,PeepHole in the ceiling Right over Bath tub. Parking lot was ice covered, lucky we didn't fall and break our necks. I would have to be Homeless to want to stay here again P.s no Continental BreakFast.

The Holiday Inn was a nice hotel but needed some major renovations!! The roof leaked from all the rain that weekend, the jets didn't work in the hot tub & the maintenance man said it was because of the motor being moved to far away from the hot tub & it would've been nice to have a continental breakfast!

The kids love this hotel, they are under the odd impression that it's the fanciest one around. We think it's the pool. Pool is in the middle of the hotel, all rooms are subject to the noise.

Here is a list of problems encountered at my stay in this hotel: 1. Room was on second floor and there is no elevator. Had to carry all luggage up stairs and across a ramp to room. 2. There was mildew on the bathroom walls and faucets. Requests for cleaning were ignored. 3. Coffee maker not clean. 4. It took repeated requests to get a rollaway bed to the room, and when it arrived the sheets were not clean and the bed frame was rusty and bent,it looked like it had been salvaged from a dumpter. 5. Hot tub and surrounding area were not clean, and the tub jets did not work. 6. A comment card was not readily available to express all the problems listed above. I think Travel website should drop this hotel from their list of acceptable accommodations and direct people to other hotels.

The cleanliness and quietness. Great amenities for all ages. Nothing. We have stayed at this hotel with Priceline. To be able to get the respect and comfort at a greater price was awesome. It is also located across the street from everything.

Good mattresses. Mattresses were full size queen would be better too small. Great place to stay. I would recommend it to others. In fact, I did recommend it to my daughter, and they stayed there also.

Location. Smoking rooms. The hotel was very nice and so was the staff. We wanted a nonsmoking room and were placed in a smoking room which we really did not like!

Refrigerator and microwave in each room. Could hear noise from pool on the other side of the building past 11pm. The room was great. However, the way sound travels throughout the building and from the hall into the rooms would give me reason to think twice about staying here again.

Clean. Employes standing around rear door when we were leaving. Works great for us. Rear parking area not closed in I think a safty issue.

Convenient. The pathway to the rooms and the way they are lined up is unattractive. However, since the hallways are enclosed, that may be nice for travelers in winter. Hotel looks old but too costly to update because of it's boxy construction.

Very convenient and friendly staff. Small, dated room, but it served our purpose. Great location for anything at the University of Northern Iowa. Good food, friendly staff and nice pool area.

Free newspapers and coffeee Noisy at night. Kids running up an d down halls The location was great. It is kept up well. We were in a room at poolside and it was quite noisy late in the evenings and sometimes into the early morning hours.

The staff was very accommodating. The heating unit in this room was very poor. It was very, very hot in the room and it was hard to cool room.
