We had requested a king size bed. When we arrived, not one word was mentioned about being out of that type of room. When we got to the room, I called the front desk and basically was told "tough luck". The room and bathroom was cramped. The bathroom was so worn out, it looked dirty. The icemaker made ice "chips". They melted before we even got the ice bucket back to the room. Lots of noise from trucks and such outside in the parking lot.

Staff was very friendly & great location downtown! Didn't like being charged $10 for parking, but well. The hotel and room was very clean. Loved being right downtown Columbus for a reasonable price compared to all the other hotels I checked out. I will definitely stay there again!

Renovations are not complete. Parking is limited. Rooms were nice and comfortable except for small bathrooms with ceiling access panels not completely secure. I did not select this location, but it did meet my needs (price charged to organization was very resonable for downtown location). Restaurant is overpriced, especially for breakfast bar. Hotel staff was friendly and professional. It would have been nice if the Brownstone on Main had been open since it is in walking distance of motel.

it's what i expected, igrew up in downtown columbus,it has changed alot in a very nice way,the tv reception was not good,my daughter was visiting and had been not feeling well she had too spend the whole day in my room with bad tv,which the cable was stuck together and had the desk leg sitting on the cable to keep it held together, could of been a fire hazard,my boyfriend did take time to fix... but over all the room was clean, people were very nice, but my smoking room had no ash tray.....

I booked this hotel for the use of guests at my wedding, mostly on account of location and the use of the free shuttle they offered. Big mistake. L is the sales manager there that set up my wedding room block at a "preferred rate". As I came to find out (when no one made reservations inside the block) that this was 40/night over the rate they got outside the block. Thanks, L for taking advantage of wedding guests - not a nice thing to do. L also promised me that use of the shuttle to get my guests to and from the wedding/recpetion would not be a problem as everything was only 3 miles away. This was not so. Once she was tracked down (she's terrible about answering her phone and returning phone calls), L told me that the shuttle would only be available to drop guests off, not pick them up as Saturday at midnight the shuttle's main priority is the airport. Again, the reception was 3 miles away - not necessarily out of the way from a direct path to and from the airport - but no exceptions could be made I was told. All of this not to mention the dirty rooms and cold showers my guests experienced. So please, do not take on the hassle of dealing with L and have your wedding guests stay elsewhere.

This hotel is very convienient to about everything. It was 1 block from our meeting destination. Breakfast downstairs was great. Staff was very nice. Also, the price was affordable, complete trip was very comfortable.

The hotel staff were very nice, and I really appreciated the free shuttle to the Nationwide Arena. I did not like paying $10 a day to park. I wish it had a complimentary breakfast, and 4 people in a room need 4 towels. I enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn, but I did not like paying $10 per day to park. The pool was nice, but it was small. The rooms were clean and very nice, and the hotel staff went out of their way to be very nice and find us everything we needed. I liked having the hotel shuttle available for transportation to the Arena.

The hotel has completed most of the renovations listed in the previous reviews and now is very nice. There are no signs of any construction going on. The hotel and the room were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very curteous and polite. The food was very good. We had a very pleasent experience. I would recommend this hotel to my family.

Overall hotel was decent, good location for good price. However, hotel tried to add extra $10 / night fee (later eliminated) for parking even though I did not park in hotel lot. Also only one elevator was in service during entire stay of 4 nights.

Wonderful staff, and good value. They did not advertise that you have to pay $10 a day for parking at the hotel.

The hotel was under renovation when we were there. It looked like they were trying to make it better. We had room service for dinner and it was good food served fairly quickly. The location is OK for business but we were there for the NHL draft on a weekend when the city center was pretty well empty. There is a mall nearby with a Macy's and on a Saturday afternoon it was not busy. The folks in Columbus are friendly and it's a good looking city with wide streets but this hotel left a lot to be desired at that time.

This was our firts trip to Columbus and we choose this hotel because we didin't want expent too much money in hotel, and for the price the hotel was good, the service was excellent, the location was close to German village, and close to everything in downtown Columbus(eventough it is not much to see in this town) you sould try Jenny's ice cream in downtown, you will not be disappointed, they have good and unusual flavors like lemom bluberry and queen city cayene

Nothing. Everything. We traveled from Ontario to Ohio for a cheer leading competition and when we arrived we were told that the hotel was overbook and that our room was gone. The staff then put 4 people in a room with one bed and did not have any roll-away beds left. They told us to make a bed on the floor. The entire room was disgusting, there were stains on everything the carpet was black. The pool was so cloudy. The elevators took 20 minutes to reach the third floor. If you didn't shower at 6 am you would not get any hot water. The wait for food in the restaurant was ridiculous. We were the only family in there and it took an hour to get our food. This is the most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed at. Very disappointing after a long drive!

I didn't book the room. I was shocked when I arrived to find it was under renovation. Luckily the room was clean and it was close to my destination. Unfortunately, the parking lot was a disaster (glad I didn't get charged the normal 10), entrance was not well marked or lit, elevators didn't work, the breakfast buffet was overpriced/poor quality, the ice machine didn't work, and what they have already renovated has been poor. Again, the room was clean but the hot water is lacking and many of the controls (shower) and handles (door) are on backwards.

I flew into Columbus to attend a wedding over the weekend. The Holiday Inn COLUMBUS-CITY CENTER was perfectly located for me to access the events for the weekend. While the Hotel is going through a remodel it was a very nice place to stay, room was very clean, bathroom is in good shape and the front desk staff were very friendly. The Hotel food was fine. It's location is little further from the heart of Columbus but overall the walk is a nice walk.

At the Holiday Inn in columbus city center, we found a room to sleep in. The room was comfortable. When we were using the only working elevator in the hotel, it randomly went from floor to floor, creaking and dropping between floors, and occasionaly would not open on a floor. When we went to use the stairs to get to our room, it was locked, employees only. For a company that is in the hospitality business, it was neither accomadating or hospitable.

Staff was friendly and accommodating; hotel clean and up-to-date. Flat screen HDTV would be appreciated. Very pleasantly surprised - by hotel and staff. Location was great for visiting Ohio Statehouse, Franklin Park Conservatory and German Village. Centrally located to all.

The room was comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was a long walk from downtown, but they had a courtesy van available to take us to the convention center and the airport. A major re-modelling is going on at present so the pool was out of service and only one elevator was working, but construction noise was minimal.
