The pizza from the restaurant was great. And I thought the pillow menu was cute. The tempurpedic bed was uncomfortable. The Hotel staff was friendly and were able to give us a late check out of 12:30 which was greatly appreciated. The room was nice although I wish the would have had a mini fridge I always find them to be convenient for take out and beverages. They did have tempurpedic beds, which if you are a fan would be great.

The Brownstone was perfectly situated right next to the campus of NC State and worked out very well for my daughter and me. I liked it because the front desk service was really pleasant, the rooms were comfortable and very clean, but most of all, I liked it because they're honest. When we left in the morning, I forgot my cell phone. I went back about two hours later and the front desk clerk called housekeeping who went back to the room and retrieved it saving the. They could have been lazy and they could have been dishonest, but they weren't and that makes me want to dump my Marriott points and use Holiday Inns.

We stay here at least once a year. Close by to NC State for our business training. All staff is friendly and helpful. We are travel agents so we know what to look for. Busy aera, close by for everytrhing.

Great location, and staff. Old, outdated, smelled, small bathroom, dirty. The hotel itself was very old, dirty, and smelly. It was in serious need of a remodel or even better demolition. It was a 2 star hotel, at best. Other than a pretty centralized location there was nothing really positive to say about my experience.

This hotel is the perfect location to visit NC State. We were there just overnight but had a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The parking lot was well lit and breakfast in the restaurant was good. Good stay for the money. I'd stay here again for sure.

Came into town from NJ for a conference being held there. Booked there because of the discounted group rate. Everything about it was fantastic, especially the service and location. We were able to walk to a different restaurant every night and also shopping at the Cameron Village area.

The heating system in the room is only on when the outside temperature is below 55 degrees; the room was always around 67 and forever chilly. There is no heat on guest demand. Totally absurd. This is a very old Holiday Inn.

Convenient to NCSU, not far from downtown Raliegh. Low staff at night, lobby area needs new carpet. This is an old building that has been renovated. For the most part, they have done a good job. The room and bathroom were really nice and well done, except the glass sliding doors. The sliding doors in my room needed to be replaced, period. The balcony railing was slightly rusty. The air conditioner in the room worked fine, but there was no air conditioning in the stuffy building hallways. The carpet in the lobby/reception area was completely worn out and gives a pretty bad first impression. Because the room was nice, it was a nice place to stay, but I am not sure I would rate them with 3 stars until they make some more improvements mainly the lobby carpet, sorry it was just atrocious. There seemed to be minimal staff at night. They need to monitor the night time noise levels since a lot of college age people stay there. It was an issue two nights in a row.

In town for a conference held here. Had a very nice room on their Executive Floor. Free snacks, water, soda. I liked that the internet was also free. This hotel is not the newest you'll find, but its got a really good location in a quiet part of downtown. This hotel has a quaint feel to it that I liked. The food for the conference was also very good.

I was able to check in 3 hours after driving for 14hours. Major Construction on Hills borough, delays everywhere. Very pleasant stay, however, very limited attractions near by. Overall it was a good stay for me and my family.

Comfortable beds; clean room. Very noisy - on lower levels near parties/functions; stay in the higher floors. Good for a short visit to Raleigh.

Comfortable and quiet for a hotel. We really enjoyed the hotel.

Low price, free internet. No breakfast included, older hotel with minimal amenities. Serviceable for the business traveler; don't expect anything more than standard fare. Room service pizza was excellent!

"Have stayed there two times in the last year. We usually come to town for Hurricanes games. Always had exceptional service and the location cant be beat for the price. Only downside was the small fitness room, however front desk said we could get a pass to the YMCA next door."

Parking was free and convenient. Not updated and not even close to location I needed. Hotel is older property with few frills. Just a place to sleep really. Although comfortable, did not meet expectations of a 3-star property.

"There was no climate control. Our room was very hot and when we called the desk we were told just to open our door, it was between seasons and there was no heat or A/C.We checked out immediately."

Tempurpedic mattress. Internet intermittent, very slow and 3 days not working. Old property that is in severe need of a makeover. Beds are doubles and the mattresses sit on particle board (visible). Old TV and furnishings. Balconies in need of repainting.

"This hotel is located in a very busy and noisy part of Raleigh. There was construction going on the entire time I was here. Non-hotel guests wander through the parking lot at all hours. I felt unsafe outside. The noise from the traffic, construction and people all around the hotel are the reasons I will not return."
