Date of Stay: June, 2009

The location is convenient for the Charlotte airport and the shuttle makes traveling a breeze. However, the hotel needed a ton of repairs done to it, as the rooms were in disrepair, (shower heads not functional, ac broken, etc). Every piece of equipment in the gym was broken. The staff, on the other hand, was a excellent group of people, and made every effort to provide a great experience for their guest, despite the wreckage around them. Management needs to step up and give their staff some resources to work with!!

Room was not properly cleaned. Bathroom had used soap and toiletries in shower and on sink. Room desk has used bitten pens on with old written on writing pad. Room service was terrible with warm drink and broken dish and food cover. One of the phones in the room was broken and would not dial out or within the hotel system. Terrible stay, during check out front desk clerk attempted to double bill for the nights stay. HORRIBLE!

The restaurant, bar and lobby of the hotel is very impressive as far as facilities is concerned. The customer service staff is fantastic, the best I have seen in a very long time. Thus, the location is perfect! They have a very large ballroom that can accomodate a large event. It is right next to the interstate, which I used several times during my stay. Also, it is close to chain stores. However, I was irritated by alot of unpleasant things such as being placed in a room next to the pool as a single traveler. All I could hear was noise. Thus, the t.v. in my room was old, I was seeing all different shades and of course, I could not order a movie because the t.v. was too old. Third, my tub was not squeaky clean nor was my coffee pot (you could see the dirt on it clearly). So, I had to call for a replacement coffee pot.

Driver and desk staff helpful. Not close to airport. Rather tired hotel in need of refurbishment and not close to the airport.

This hotel has a real business center which is complimentary. Most hotels I have stayed at with this type of business center their is an extra charge for copies or internet usage per minute (not this one) they really did a great job on this room. I stay here and leave my laptop at home. I carry a memory stick and go. The staff is excellent and housekeeping service was outstanding.

This hotel was just "okay". Nothing fancy. It was clean so that was good. We did not like the resturaunt at all. The waitstaff, for lack of a better term, had attitude problems. When you go to eat there, it is not clear if you are to order from a menu or eat the breakfast buffet. We were not the only ones who complained that we thought the breakfast was a free continental one. The waitstaff was confused about what age the kids had to be to enjoy the buffet for free. One told us 10 and under, the other 12 and under. My son who just turned 12 got it free the first day, the second day we were questioned about his age which infuriated me. Some of the staff was friendly, some of them were "blah". One light at the end of the tunnel, my battery died and the staff was prompt in getting my car jumped in no time.

We needed a hotel close to downtown Charlotte and booked this hotel on the internet expecting a usual Holiday Inn. It is beautiful and is by far the best Hol Inn we've ever stayed at. Friendly staff, very comfortable room with frig & microwave. Breakfast buffet was great w/eggs cooked to order! Wonderful hotel and locaton.

Good location for where we were visiting - but difficult to access because of traffic islands. Gave us a room with 2 double beds instead of the one king bed we'd reserved. Bathrooms smelled of urine. Some maid service OK, but most only made the bed and changed towels. Card lock keys did not work properly - hotel mgmt. said they'd have an engineer up the first a.m. we were there to "change the batteries", but in 4 nights and 5 days the lock never was fixed! Front desk staff was good! Both curteous and respectful, but cleaning service bad. The entire guest room area smelled! Air conditioners noisy and ineffective!

Convienent location off major road. Not visually appealing from the outside upon arrival. The outside of the hotel needs repair/updating and landscaping.

No bath towels on arrival. Only tepid warm water for showers with a flow you can bearly feel. When Mgmt was notified they just said ""I'm Sorry"", but still no hot water. Rooms were mildewed, tiles missing in bathroom, rooms seemed kind of nasty. Uncarring staff. Needs to be demolished - way past prime.

"We stayed at this Holiday Inn 2 times in a 6 wks. The 1st visit was July, w/3 mates. Excellent beds! The hsekpng staff never stocked towels for 4 -- we constantly called for more. Enjoyed the pool & spa. Visited last week, left a lot to be desired. Staff is disgruntled/unhappy -- it shows. Room not vacuumed & not as comfortable. It was a disappointment. This room had amenities though, such as a fridge and microwave - a nice surprise. Overall, the stay was o.k. for the value. Hotel has lean staff -- 1 person at front desk check in and answer calls. Mgmt problem? Perhaps "

The hotel was easy to find off the interstate. It works for a place to stay when passing through. They guy asking for money in the parking lot was a little unnerving. The pool was OK for the kids after a day in the car. The air-conditioner was very loud.
