The hotel staff was excellent. They assisted us in every way they could and helped us in locating items of interest that we asked them about. The entire staff was extremely courteous. The room was clean when we arrived and the staff was attentive in any needs that we told them about. The only issue that we had was there were no towels at the pool when we went, but other than that, an excellent experience all around.

Good location and value. The room was not clean, the face cloths were not replenished, the iron was broken, the TV channels were fuzzy. The room was not clean, the face cloths were not replenished, the iron was broken, the TV channels were fuzzy, even when we asked the housekeeping for facecloths and a new iron, no-one responded. The bathtub was clogged with water collecting during a shower.

We narrowed down our selection of hotels by which ones had an indoor heated pool. When we stay overnight, one of the kids greatest pleasures is to play in the indoor pools (in the cooler months). The hotel was partly under construction so there was the minor inconvenience of things not being "beautiful". The outdoor pool was closed, but the indoor pool was still open. The pool was very clean and pretty, but was NOT heated. We checked the internet (free wi-fi) to see if we were mistaken on the description of the pool... we weren't. It was advertised as heated.I don't want to dwell on the negative, but I think it's fair for travelers who might be making their hotel selection by the same criteria. On the positive! The meals were fantastic and the staff was very friendly. Kids eat free and they treat them just like paying customers.

My stay at this Holiday Inn was horrible. There seems to be no communication between the staff, the hotel has issues. I also want to warn others about the constant drilling that occurs sometime after 8 a.m, even on the weekends because the hotel is under construction. Forget calling the front desk for a wake up call, because they will forget. Instead forget staying at this Holiday Inn, not all are bad, but this one should be shut down immediately.

The smell is awful from a fire, guests were loud and hung around outside drinking. In light of the recent hurricane, guests were there from losing their homes that I could deal with. However, many hung outside drinking and playing loud music, pets everywhere and the smell of smoke was more than I could handle.

Stayed here before and always had a good experience. Parking can be tight if they hotel is hosting an event for the evening. Otherwise, will stay here again

The hotel is under renovation during our stay. The carpet is old and you can see the wear and tear. The beds were uncomfortable. We got by for the two evenings that we were there. The kids have a blast at the indoor pool facility. The hotel has an indoor and an outdoor pool. It rained all weekends and we were able to use the indoor pool. Our goal for the stay was to find a hotel close to Houston Chinatown and this hotel is perfect. Its location is about 10 minutes away. Overall we have a great time. The indoor pool made up for a rainy weekend. I would love to stay at the same hotel next time when they are done with their renovation.

Easy access, convenient. Our room was fine (although rather small and cramped). There was something sticky all over the bathroom floor. After getting in from the airport very late the previous night, the fire alarm went off at 5:20 AM, (for what reason we don't know), we were evacuated and kept outside for over an hour with no explanation. No fire department personnel were at the hotel and we were unsure of what action to take. Due to this, we promptly grabbed our bags and left the hotel.

I loved this hotel EXCEPT they have very limited parking. They also have a large reception hall capacity but DO NOT reserve parking for overnight guests. The hotel itself is wonderful--clean, inviting and responsive to customers' needs.

Great- we were there for a death in family and staff was warm and friendly, we were even able to laugh. Our room was just a little small but still fine. From the general manager to the front desk, to the restaurant and bar they made us very comfortable even under the circumstances.

This was the only place to stay available when I needed to be in Sugarland. The room grossed me out and the neighborhood is spotty

Pool looked inviting and well maintained. My room should have been cleaner. I was at this hotel for a professional seminar. It was an okay place, though far removed from either of the city's airports - a $61 cab fare from Hobby Airport. My room was not as clean as it should have been but the rest of the hotel looked very clean. During my seminar, hotel staff was very attentive to maintaining the coffee and snack setups and clearing away used cups and utensils.

Friendly staff. Hard to set shower temperature, cramped room. Facility is undergoing renovations. Room I had had been renovated. It was just ok due to size. There is a strong objectionable odor throughout all the public building areas. Room was cramped to the point that you could not get pass the desk if the chair was not moved to between the beds. Small sink area with no space to put toiletries. Beds were comfortable with the multiple pillow arrays.

The indoor pool was exceptional! Our kids had a great time swimming in it. The beds were small and uncomfortable and the outdoor pool was closed due to ongoing construction. The hotel was an older Holiday Inn. The indoor pool was exceptional. Our kids really enjoyed it while I was nearby in the attached hot tub. The outdoor pool was drained and closed due to ongoing construction.

All aspects of this hotel met our expectations and needs. Shower head itself did need replacing. This hotel was very easy to find. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The restaurant was excellent and the staff there was very helpful. We will definitely visit this location again.

Leaving! Unhelpful staff, poor facilities, dirty, insects in the room. This was an absolutely disgusting hotel. The rooms were dirty and bug infested. The staff was unhelpful and apathetic towards the guests. Due to construction (on a Friday night) power was lost to several floors and the management made no arrangements to relocate guests to functioning rooms. No apologies, no attempts to insure that things were corrected. Dirty hotel, clueless staff.

It is 5 or 6 miles inside of Houston. Not even close to Sugar Land. Employees cars parked under canopy where guest need the shelter from rain to check in. TV would not work and was not repaired or replace. Overall very poor experience.

Convince friendly people good food. Bath room prep area too small. They are remodeling the facility which will help make it up to a 3/3-1-2 rating. It will be a good hotel but they need not go wild on the $$$$.
