The hotel was fine but this was for business and it is impossible for us to get a detailed receipt which we need for billing from either Orbitz or the hotel. I would not use Orbitz again because of this reason.

Convenient, friendly, comfortable. There was no store for small items, ie. food, ice cream. Convenient, friendly and comfortable.

Was in Birmhingham for a week and enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn. The room was very clean, good breakfast. & a great location with easy access to the Interstate.

Stayed here for a race wekend. The staff was extraordinarily friendly! There were greetings and smiles from every staff member I saw. The room was excellent, very clean. Fresh, clean sheets on the bed. The room was also well equiped and nicely furnished.

Hotel was very convenient to University of Kentucky. Staff was more than friendly. Had touble keeping the keys programmed to open the doors. Other than that everything was really good.

It was close to the airport. This hotel was close to the airport and easy to get to and from airport. However, the surrounding areas did not appear very safe and I felt uneasy about walking around the premises. The room was hot upon entering and linens were dirty. We had to move rooms and the staff was very nice and accommodating. However, after getting ready for bed again we discovered that the linens were not very clean, but it was too late to change rooms. We also found a small crawling around in our sheets. At first glance the facility appears to be nice, but when you looked up close it was very dirty and unattractive. I would not stay at this hotel again!

Fantastic experience...my husband and i stopped here on our way to our honeymoon. We didn't stay long (checked in at 11:30 pm and out at 8:30 the next morning) but did not experience any problems. It did take a while for us to check in because apparently some flights at the airport had been cancelled - not the hotel's fault. I was very impressed with the restaurant/lounge area, wish we could have stayed long enough to try it out. Overall, very comfortable, uneventful, and enjoyable stay.

Check out seemed to last forever since the only people in front of me wanted to change who was paying and the one now paying was already sitting on the shuttle bus and had to be asked to come back to the desk. I finally stopped the manager and asked him to check me out which was done in about 10 seconds and the other people were still there!

Although the facility was being renovated, the rooms were clean, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I have stayed on 3 other occasions, and if not for the price increase, I would definitely have returned."

The hotel was very clean from the lobby to the bedrooms and bathroom. They offer a good breakfast buffet for the price and happy hour in the evening for a couple of hours with a nice renovated bar. A rental car is required as it is several miles to 5 points south or the convention center. The hotel is not in an area where you would want to walk around on night.

The desk personnel seemed confused about how to go about doing their job, not well versed in check-in/check-out proceedures. Security personnel were odd.

Workout space excellent. Parking lot felt very safe. Rooms recently redone and very nicely. Had a steak for the evening meal and it was very good. Buffet breakfast the next morning was excellent. For me there is no need to look further - I will always stay at this hotel on future visits.
