The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a welcome refuge after a long tour.

Hotel is very central - quiet street off via independenzia- half way between station and piazza maggiore. Rooms not very large and decor a bit dated -but the service is good, staff friendly and very reasonably priced for a central location. We read before that area was quite seedy but this was not our experience at all. Would stay there again

Free Wifi (if you have your own computer) in the lobby, if not they have a computer at a reasonable price. Also an inhouse bar for beers & coffee. Surrounding is not dodgy as the website has mentioned. It's very quiet, off the main streets. Bologña is small enough to cover by foot.

This was my first stay at the hotel and I would definitely stay there again. The staff was really nice and helpful, the room comfortable and it is really close to the center. Great value for money.

Stayed here with my 18yr old daughter in Aug 08. We had heavy backpacks and it was a good 15 min hot walk from the railway station not a few hundred meters as on website! If you're loaded with luggage take a taxi c. 7 euros. However, excellent central location with shops, restaurants and all the old town right there. Don't be put off by the sex shop at the begining of the small street the Holiday Hotel Bologna is in - he other end is directly into a main part of the town. If you are staying in Bologna to visit the Ferrari museum at Marinello, it took us a couple of hours by train and bus and 10 mins walk at the other end. We may not have done it in the best way - check the route carefully!

The hotel was a little hard to find, and the locals haven't heard of the street. The venere directions (as they usually are) were poor, just saying the hotel is meters from the train station. Well, this is true, but not helpful as it isn't visible from the train station. The hotel is located in a street that is almost a back alley. When I checked in they gave me a room without a window, but when I told them it wasn't acceptable they gave me another room without any problem. The decor is very 1980s, though the rooms were a good size. There is a lift, air conditioning, private bathroom, internet in the lobby, and the breakfast was good.

Hotel is very well located, clean and comfortable, close to the railway station and historic centre. I recommend to visit Restaurant Diana, close to the hotel on the main avenue. Hotel is very cozy and staff very good

Prices could be lower, it's difficult to find parking near the hotel, but it is a good hotel and I'll suggest you to other possible costumers.

Ci tornerei volentieri.

The best feature of Hotel Holiday is its convenient location, close to Piazza Maggiore, and just a few blocks off the main road through town. My only complaint would be that the street that it's on is a bit on the dark and seedy side. But, once you enter the hotel, you are welcomed by nice, helpful staff. The rooms are clean, spacious, and quiet. Bkfst is okay, not great. A decent value for the price.

Walking past the sex shop at the end of the road we were begining to get a little worried but there was no evidence that the area was in any way dangerous and at night it did not feel in the least thretening. In reality it is quite close to the main part of the city. It is not however a "few yards" from the railway station. It is walkable but it will take 30 mins or so with a suitcase. The Holiday Hotel Bologna doesn't have much character. It is functional and fairly comfortable. Everything works and it is maintained to a good standard. If you want somewhere to lay your head within easy walking distance of the main parts of Bologna this will do fine. Breakfast was quite reasonable. The free sweets on offer by the entrance are a great bonus!

We paid 86 euro/night. it was small, but that's not a big deal. The noise was excessive though. i could hear word for word what my neighbors above and to the side of me were saying. They also had construction right out our window and we were wide awake by 0800. Bfast was fine. they do have 2 parking spots avail for 13 euro/night. i wish i would have known that the 1st night because we paid 37 euro for less than 24 hours at an outside parking lot.
