Staff was very accomadating and helpful. Great experience, staff was helpful and friendly and were nice. We had a great time and will stay again if we are in the area.

We enjoyed our stay here. No complaints at all. Our bed was comfortable. Room was a nice size and had a lovely view of the ocean - not ocean front though. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wireless internet was a little bit on and off from our room, but worked on the terrace.

Enjoyed bavarian touches, friendly staff. Very helpful using hotel canister vacuum that allowed us to use space bags in our luggage to condense our clothes and accomodate for souvenir items to be packed. Heated pool was an added feature along with sauna. Continental breakfast optional in room or shared in lobby. Lobby allowed conversation with other hotel guests in an informal atmosphere. Staffer Renee was very helpful with sightseeing info regarding Big Sur.

The staff at the Hofsas House were extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accomodate our family. Our room was great. We will definitely stay at the Hofsas House on our next trip to Carmel.

Priced well for the location. The owner is unreasonable and a liar. The hotel is in a good location in Carmel by the Sea, CA. Unfortunately; the maid broke the hinges on my laptop which could have only been done by dropping it. The owner wanted nothing to do with the situation. In fact, he became defensive and accused me of smoking in the room which was untrue

We rarely had hot water, it was warm. The hotel was made of wood and made lots of noise. The walls were paper thin. The people working there were great and the location was great. The hotel was clean and spacious. The best thing about the hotel was the heated tile bathroom floors!

2 bedroom suite was very spacious. Refrigerator, fireplace and microwave, I can't think of anything. Excellent accommodations and great location! Super friendly staff and delicious continental breakfast. Fireplace in the 2 bedroom suite. Very spacious with 1 king and 2 queens; as well as 2 bathrooms. Loved this hotel!

What a charming hotel. I stayed here for business and will definitely come back for fun. Loved the short walk to town. It's a nice, family-run hotel with lots of charm.

Beautiful ocean view on top floor. Having spent many weekends in Carmel, we strayed from the well-beaten path of Main Street hotels and elected to stay several blocks off of Ocean Avenue. We are delighted we did.

The staff was extremely kind and courteous. Too noisy. Although this hotel is in Carmel it is not a place you want to stay if you want a restful stay. The room that we were in was basic which is fine, but we bombarded with loud noises from every angle. It sounded like the people directly above us were moving furniture all day long, and we were able to hear conversations word to word from the neighbors on either side of us. We had reservations for 3 nights and only stayed 1 because we couldn't sleep due to the noise.
