Description:
Hobbit house opened it's doors to the public in 1993. The original owners Jake & Ester embarked on a mission to create a fantasy world for discerning guests. Their personal touch was added to every inch of the hotel. From the water feature rich garden to the library that overlooks the pool. Each room has been decorated in a individual style and named after a Hero out of the writings of JRR Tolkien, creator of Middle-Earth and author of The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion who was born in Bloemfontein in 1892.Each room have a minibar, airconditioning, set of toiletries and a special turndown service with chocolates and sherry.
On the 1st of December 2007 the hotel changed owners. Jannie and Celeste van der Westhuizen, the new owners, are eager to bring fresh ideas into the establishment while building on the solid foundation already there.
