We stayed at the Villa Igiea for one night after leaving a hotel that was misrepresented in Palermo. By picking a Hilton we thought we would be safe. The hotel was beautiful but insanely overpriced (coffee and tea in room service was * euro each) and the room was nice but not wonderful. The service was impeccable - I have no complaints, but the room had a hole in the wall and a tiny bathroom and barely enough room to walk around the bed. For * euro (approx. USD *) it was a ripoff. We would not stay again.

for us to make a rate impact Competence of employees, Quality of service provided, Services and facilities offered get a very low rate only due to the concierge's incompetence making reservations for 12/28 and 12/30 for us on the Virtu Ferry to Malta ...I paid him a $20 tip for the service...he said reservation was done and gave us a document that looked so and only needed telephone confirmation and payment by me after Christmas he said ...but so was not the case when I 12/27 confirmed with Virtu Ferries from Siracusa just before going to Pozzalo to 12/28 enter the ferry...so we couldn't go to Malta...also the concierge department gave us false information concerning roads that don't exist so we got lost ....the by the hotel provided map was a very bad Xerox copy where a non existing freeway was marked out...the hotel told us to take that freeway and when we got there...as I said the freeway didn't exist...it was never built but it looked like on the map as if it existed...we had to take a smaller highway from Caltagirone to Siracusa and got almost lost...also we were told that Caltagirone has marble quarries which we were luckily told by an artist on the way there is wrong...beyond this the hotel AND all other personal deserve an over all rating = 10 = excellent

the probably only good hotel in palermo. for a 5 stars luxury the rooms could be better furnished (a little old) but it is a pleasure to stay there in such a city.

This is an amazing hotel. This was one of our stops on a 2 week anniversary trip and my husband and I were in Palermo visiting his relatives. The staff will bend over backwards to make your stay pleasant. They are wonderful, gracious, and completely helpful. This is a first class hotel. We will visit again when we are in Palermo!!
