The hotel has a great location near the Power and light district but the rooms are dated. Not what I would expect for a Hilton Hotel.

Great location...walking distance to Power and Light..wonderful stay!

Great location. Desk service somewhat poor. I booked well in advance and ordered 2 double beds, when we checked in they said they are all booked up and would put a roll away in the room for us. Did very little to compensate me.

Had to move the room once, no problem there. Watch for the amenities at this hotel, there are charges for everything. After paying $*** for two nights, internet and parking should be included. Also, when you offer a breakfast buffet (which was good, but not extradinary) the price should be mentioned. 40 bucks for two people was a little high. We won't go back mainly because you can pay much less and get much more if you are willing to drive into downtown etc. However, if you know the prices up front, the hotel is good. Great beds, good rooms (above the 4th floor) and good staff.

My friends and I had a girls night out and wanted to stay close to the Power and Light District so we could walk. It was perfect as far as location. The staff there didn't always seem like they knew what was going on and the first room we checked into wouldn't take our key card so they had to move us or we had the option to wait for a maintenance person. The rooms were large which was nice. The room we moved to was on the inside of the building with a view of the other side...not very appealing and the pigeons were noisy in that area. The building of course is old so you have to take that into account when staying there. Nothing available for late night eating though so prepare ahead of time for snacks. It was perfect for what we needed it for though so we would definitely stay there again if we were downtown for a night out at the Power and Light District or an event at the Sprint Center. Just a short walk to those places.

We stayed at this hotel the same day as the MO/KS border war football game so there were lots of adults & kids, yet you still didn't hear the people staying next door to you. The hotel had the most comfortable beds and pillows. The only downfall was the breakfast buffet, which was good, was $19 per person. Use the valet parking it is $16 for the stay, but is very worth it.

Comfortable beds. Did not have reserved room. Hotel did not initially have the room we reserved. Hotel charged my credit card again for room I already paid for through Priceline.

Bad, bad, bad experience. 130.00 for a room that had a view of a roof with bird poop all over it. No refrigerator. Tiny room. Room key cards demagnetized early next morning. When I called the desk to let us back in our room in they gave us new cards on 3 seperate trips down to the desk. None of which worked. Asked the girl at the desk to come up herself because they weren't working. She comes down the hallway stomping, opens the door, and says rudely, " I don't know why your key won't work.", then walks off. Not even an apology for our inconvenience. Just upset that she had to walk up there. When checking out the man at he desk asks " How was everything." I proceed to tell him everything mentioned in this review, his reaction, "Oh." Again no apology or offer as to what they can do to keep our buisness. I won't even get into the situation about when we tried to get in the parking garage. Just one of those places that once they get your money they really don't care about your personal experience.

Great hotel, door staff very helpful and friendly. Food and bar servers were varied, some were great, a couple seemed lost and overwhelmed. Loved the hotel, just wish they had a pool! The room was great!

Beautifully restored hotel close to downtown. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and quiet. A lovely boutique hotel with real character that makes a nice change from the other hotel chains. I would stay there again and highly recommend it.

There was a wonderful ballroom on the 12th floor for our business conferences for the week that was perfect for the large group we had there. And our group was a large group of well behaved teenagers that the hotel was very accommodating to. Bathroom was more roomy than standard hotels. $50 Million refurbish was recently done to get this looking very similar to it's original look in the 1920s. Very stylish!! And we were in easy walking distance from many restaurants and from the very large conference centers in the middle of town. It was perfect!

The rooms were wonderful and very clean! This is a beautiful Hotel with huge management issues.Management was no existant. One valet was running the front desk and trying to Park cars. Alarms went off at 6:30am and no one seemed to know how to turn them off. Room service sent me to the gift shop for Ice Cream at 9:00pm Sunday. Gift shop was closed. construction all around the hotel very hard to get around. Valet was not always available so you ended up parking your own car. Toilet did not flush and took 1 day and 1/2 for maintaince to fix.

The hilton President is well worth the money. But the whole express check in is not so express and if your name does not come up on the computer at the front desk uh oh maybe your not worhty of staying there, Me and my girlfriend were looked down upon as if maybe we were stupid and didnt have the right hotel or maybe we didnt have enough money to be staying at the hilton president hotel. Once we got in the room I went to front desk to ask for more tea packets and I was told they would have some sent up Never showed up, So in a nutshell the hotel room was excellent and comfortable but the service was little to be desired.

my husband and small child and I stayed at the Hilton President for my Best Friends wedding and reception. The reception was held on the 12th floor, and it was great. The staff was friendly, the reception hall was beautiful, and the waiters were the friendliest that I have personally come across. When we returned from the festivities, we were in a beautiful room, with a full bathroom, and and king sized bed that was so comfortable that my family and I hated to leave. my 9 month old son even loved it. he rolled from 1 end of the bed to the other!lol the room was spacious so we weren't bumping into one another to get around....which they made sure was non-smoking for our infant. P.S. the vending machine stole my money and I was reimbursed downstairs with 2 sodas, instead on 1! We Loved it.

"The hotel was nice and clean; however, there are a lot of constructions going on outside. One thing that stroke me was separate the Hilton President parking fee that was billed to the hotel guests $13.00 a day!"
