With the hotel located a long way from downtown and almost any other activity, it seems ridiculous to charge such a fee to park. There appear to be acres of space and almost no other use for the space. With the room rates what they are, add $5.00/day to the rate and offer free parking. What a bargain it waould then be.

Just returned from our stay in Ponce. We were not told when making the reservation that the pool would be down for service. Although there was a shuttle offered to another complex, it was very inconvenient. The beach was not well taken care of either. Lots of seaweed. We were supposed to stay two nights, checked out after one. Wouldn't stay again.

Just make sure you have the time to really enjoy all the resort has to offer. From the time we arrived the service was wonderful, check-in was a breeze, and the rest just fell into place. The staff were very accommodatiing, friendly and no demand seemed to much. Loved our time there!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Ponce. The service was excellent. The accomodations were clean and neat. The grounds were immaculate. The pool and beach were within 100 yards of each other. We also found the value for money to be considerable compared to some of San Juan's nicer hotels, making the 1.5 hr drive to Ponce well worth the trip. Please note, though, that the resort is somewhat isolated. This makes for a wonderfully quiet setting if you are looking to get away from it all (as we were hoping to do), but you'll likely need a rental car if you care to eat somewhere other than the hotel restaurants or venture into the city of Ponce. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.

......versus the San Juan area. This is the second time I stayed here on business. I stayed in the executive tower, with an ocean view room. Clean, bright, cheerful rooms with a very comfortable bed. The only thing that I might change is to put a screen door on the sliding glass door, so that you could open the glass door at night to catch the sea breeze without mosquitoes getting in. The La Cava restaurant is one of the best on that side of the island. The sea is calmer on this side of the island versus the north (San Juan) side, but lacks the fine quality sand of the north-shore beaches. This hotel is usually quieter during the week; it is a bit more raucous during the weekend, seemingly filled with chatty Puerto Ricans.

This is our third stay at this hotel. We love the staff here. They are very friendly and helpful. This is a great hotel to stay while exploring historic Ponce and nearby natural reserves and beaches (balnearios) such as Salinas National Preserve, Bosque Seco, Pargueras, Boqueron, Caja de Muertos, Cana Gorda, etc. The front desk staff is very helpful in suggesting places to visit and providing travel directions and other relevant information. Always check with the front desk before you venture out. We enjoyed taking morning walks around the hotel's property, sipping tropical drinks at El Bohio, and listening to live music from the veranda. The pools, public recreation areas, and business center are very clean, well staffed, and comfortable. This hotel offers something for everyone: casino, golf course, tennis, walking paths, plenty of sitting areas, full service restaurants, spa services, etc. The fitness center is average but the staff is great. We plan to visit again next year.

This was a terrible experience. They have 2 pools and I never found out about the nice one until it was the day before leaving. No one told us about the other pool or the services they had at the golf club. No one was friendly when I asked where to go snorkleing they could not tell me where to go. Food is extremely expensive. I pre paid for my room and the staff at the desk called me a liar and then he laughed at me.They recharged me for the room so I had to get that discharged from my credit card. Then they said they would give me free use of the business area and free breakfast they charged me for that. When I checked out they told me my bill was one charge when I go home they added $300.00 more to my bill and then 3 days later they added another $300.00. It took me almost 4 months to get the charges correct. I was very disappointed. The only good thing I can say is when the general manager talked to me he was great.... BUT then he handed it off to another manager and he never credited me back so I had to re contact the general manager and he finally got it all straight. The beach at the golf course is great and lots of sea shells. Pool at motel is really busy and lots of locals. the best part was the bar by the pool as the service there was great.....

We recently traveled to the Hilton Ponce for a quik getaway. We found that the hotel was lovely and the staff were excellent. I have stayed at many Hilton hotels and always been pleased with the service and location. The Hilton Ponce did not disappoint. The restaurants offered variety and the beach pool was great. The Casino was small and offered limited space around the slot machines. We did enjoy the live salsa music and the dancing. All in all I would recommend the hotel to friends.

"My family stayed for a long weekend. We were not impressed. We enjoyed venturing away from the hotel and the weather. If you go, use the pool at the golf club. There seemed to be locals that used the pool at the hotel and was crammed. Our first night we were kept up by kids screaming at the pool until about 11:00pm. Very disappointed in the rocky beach. A staff member told me via e-mail that they have an Island with a beautiful beach. It was over a half hour drive away and booked up.The staff was not friendly and the food was very fair.Dinner was good at the Sushi bar."

"Great location. Food was very pricey on the resort but rooms come with a refridgerator, so you can buy elsewhere. Great views, but the beach is black sand and not great for swimming."
