The hotel is located on the Napier-Taupo Highway, and guests will find that it is only a short distance from the center of town. Guests that stay at the Hilton Lake Taupo will be able to visit the town and find places to shop and dine, as well as visit the lake. The hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport. Those who are staying at the Hilton Lake Taupo will be able to use public transportation to help them reach areas they want to explore if they do not have a rental car.

What are your breakfast options?: Our Hotel Restaurant, Bistro Lago serves breakfast daily from 7:00 am until 11:00 am and they provide an a la carte menu and continental buffet on weekdays. In addition to this, a Hot buffet selection is also provided on weekends. The cost varies depending on items consumed, however the continental buffet selection is $25 per person and a full cooked breakfast is $35 per person.
What transport is available to get around?: Hilton Lake Taupo is situated a short 5 minute drive from the main town centre and is convenient to all main tourist attractions. There are various shuttle and taxi services that can be arranged at a cost, however the Hotel rents Mountain bikes for $30 for a half day (Based on 4 hours) or $50 for a full day.
What can I do nearby?: Our region is regarded as New Zealand's events capital due to the many festivals, events and activities that take place throughout the year. Trout fishing, Lake Cruises, Jet boating and other water sports such as kayaking and rafting are some of the few options available on Lake Taupo and it's many surrounding rivers.

The Tongariro crossing is an internationally acclaimed all-day trek and is only an hour from Taupo - This is rated as #20 on AA's 101 must-do's in New Zealand.

There are also plenty of other shorter walks, thermal explorer tours, fantastic golf courses and New Zealand's largest ski field right on our door step. For the more adventurous, a bungy jump or skydive is available.
