Location, restaurants and overall accommodations. Lack of friendliness by a few of the staff. The hotel is in a great location. The beds were very comfortable. The various dining options in the hotel was great. The bathroom was functional yet small.

My fiancee and I booked our room for the Hilton online. Apparently, once you do this, the room is SET IN STONE! I knew this from the fine print, but I had no idea how uncooperative their customer service would be. We had a Mardi Gras ball to attend on which I thought was Jan. 26th, but it turned out that it was actually on the 25th. We called the hotel to see if they wouldn't mind just CHANGING the date and just MOVING the hotel room to the 25th. Even though they had PLENTY of rooms available, the Hilton REFUSED to move the room. They said all they could do was give us ANOTHER room for the 25th. By doing this, we would be out over 400 dollars. We even offered to pay the difference in room price because it was 207 for the room we paid for, but 229 for the room they had for Friday. They still REFUSED to help us out. Consequently, we had to cancel the tux rental, which we lost money on and had to stay in the room on the 26th only because we paid for it. It's very disappointing that a highly regarded hotel like the Hilton could be so insensitive and have such lousy customer service. It's not that they COULDN'T help us, it's that they WOULDN'T help us. On top of everything, the hotel CHARGES for you to use their internet service. Even the motel 6 has free internet for goodness sake!!!! So please, beware of the fact that your money could be wasted if you stay here!

My stay at the Hilton Riverside Hotel was very pleasureable and they were very accommodating. I will stay there again the next time I visit New Orleans.

Location was excellent! Felt safe walking in the immediate area and streetcars/trolley to the French Quarter right next to lobby. Parking! $30 a night only to get lost in a parking lot maze! The accommodations were very comfortable and the location was excellent! We felt safe walking in the immediate area which included The Riverside walk area, Aquarium, Harrah's, The French Quarter and more! Staff was very friendly but because the place isso large it loses any intimate New Orleans feel you might be looking for?! Also, the parking deck was an incredible nightmare! If you decide to pay the $30 a night fee. I recommend you park on Level 5. Very important.Level 5 this was the only level we felt safe on! This level was lighted well and the elevator was easily accessible. Other levels were confusing with very long passageways to get to the elevators! Would I stay here again? Yes at the same price that I gotper night. I may try The Ambassador next time? Now go to new Orleans and have fun! We did!

The Hilton is always reliable on cleanliness and a great staff but the hotel's hype as being super has passed. The hotel rooms were clean and comfy but you can get a nicer room with a better view and softer bed at places like the Sheraton on Canal or the JW Marriott. Our Mardi Gras ball was in the grand ballroom and it was pretty decent and our waitress was AWESOME. Overall, the Hilton is a great place to stay if you want to go to Harrah's or the Riverwalk but there are much more convenient places to the French Quarter and much nicer rooms available in the city for the price.

The hotel is gorgeous and spotless! The food served in the hotel's restaurants is great and reasonably priced. The location is great. It is right near the Riverwalk and across the street from Harrahs casino. There is also a mall below the hotel. I don't like the fact that they charge you to use the gym, that is usually complimentary at most hotels. Also, they do not answer the phone at the front desk. Aside from these two small issues I had a great stay and will definitely return to the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.

The Hilton was a great location and close enough to walk to anything you would want to do. Went to Kabby's for Sunday brunch which was wonderful !!! Only set backs were that the bed was uncomfortable. The noise from out in the hall way was very unpleasant as you tried to sleep.

Very helpful staff and concierge. Parking is expensive and not much available on the streets. Unlike some other hotels, as a PriceLine customer, the staff treated us as well as any other customer.

It's the closest hotel to the Riverwalk. Great restaurant (Drago's). Trolley runs right by the front entrance of the hotel. Concierge service was helpful. Easy to find hotel from I-10. Room we stayed in was nice, but it was a little too warm for me. The thermostat apparently has a restriction on it that stops you from setting it below 68 degrees. I, nor my wife, felt it was anywhere near 68 degrees even though that it the setting we left it on. It wasn't hot, but warm. No fridge or microwave in the room, but they did have a mini-bar. The power cord for the floor lamp and telephone line were underfoot; no effort was made to keep them hidden. The self-parking garage was hard to get to in my opinion. The only route from it to our room I could figure out required switching elevators. Not that we needed to go to the car often, but I did buy a new pair of sunglasses instead of going to the car and retrieving the pair I brought we me. Parking is */day, which I was not used to. We don't travel much. Every hotel I've ever stayed in before now had free parking. Overall, though, I would stay at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside again.

Attended business conference. Locaton was excellent and was provided a room with a great view. Staff was very friendly and informative. Housekeeping was a bit lacking. Did not recieve clean drinking glasses or refills on coffee and supplies without asking. Fan in bathroom did not work. Also did not receive many TV channels. Did not like the fact that there was a very high internet useage charge. Unforuately meeting rooms were uncomfortably cold even with a suit jacket and sweater.

Came for a convention/awards ceremony and first visit back after Katrina. Clean hotel, friendly staff, great food everywhere. City looks wonderful and feels like itself but cleaner! Hotel in great location along mighty Mississippi and close to French quarter. We will be back soon.

Very nice staff. Clean, modern rooms with very comfortable bed. Great view of the Mississippi and the city. Close to the River Walk and casino and within a short walk to most anything the French Quarter or the CBD offers. Biggest negatives are parking fees and fees for internet usage, even for Hilton Honors members.

This hotel is very conveniently located to New Orleans attractions and restaurants. The sound proofing in the rooms is not very good. Could hear people in room next door and hallways.

Hilton is usually good, Great Bed, Great Shower, Great Fitness Center, nice location on Mississippi River, next to Casino, on Street Car line. As a Hilton Honors memeber of at least Silver Status, you get access to the fitness center, although have to rent any equipment Tennis, racquetball, squash, basketball. also get free bottled water at front desk, as long as they don't run out which they did on us. You can ride the streetcar or just walk up and down Canal Street and to French Quarter, we prefer to walk at least within normal distance, took streetcar to Mid City Festival and Garden District. $6 for 15 minutes of internet access in business center, I laughed at the guy. Do not bring a car if you can, Overnight parking is expensive, minimum $30. Take Cab from airport $28 flat rate for 1-2 people. Couldn't beat the price found on Cheaptickets.com, 3rd night free, stayed 3 nights for $255.
