Rooms were not maintained very good. Our stay was not good.

Given the recent Hurricane Ike that knocked out Houston 2 weeks ago, my family and I were extremely pleased with the Hilton experience at this hotel. We chose this Hilton for its proximity to the wedding we attended. The pool and the exercise room was shut down due to damage from the hurricane, which we understand is not something the hotel could control, but what they did do for us is to they us a non-smoking room on the 8th floor, which we found to be well appointed, modern, and very clean. The bed was heavenly, I had a very restful night. We left the hotel without any rash, or bug bites, and my feet were actually kept clean even though I went barefooted after shower!! The hotel itself was beautifully updated. The nearby mall was kind of on the low end of the spectrum though. IF you want to dine out, you may want to venture north on the 45, towards the Woodland area for better selection, which was our original plan. How my family of 5 found out more about the mall was because the kids were so hungry when we arrived, we stopped in to look for a place to eat, and we chose CiCi's Pizza in the mall. However my wife and I felt like we were in the hoods. So just beware of that. But this is Texas, and overall, people are friendly down here. :) Oh, just to top it off, the hotel front desk gave my whole family a complementary breakfast buffet, which was a very nice gesture due to the pool closure and all.

We were in Houston for 3 days of business. Rooms were quiet, roomy, and clean. Restaurant was great and reasonably priced. Even though the hotel was completely booked, service and facilities were great.

My stay was the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced. I had to change rooms 3x before I got one that was satisfactory.

The atrium of this hotel was very beautiful. The hotel rooms are larger than what I am used to. I would definitly recommend this hotel to others, although there is not a lot for children to do. The pool is not enclosed. Having a Starbucks in the lobby was a nice surprise.

Convenient location. Not a great part of town. Overall, my experience was as I expected. I stayed at this hotel when it was a Westin Property. Has not changed much. The location is convenient.

Room was very modern, clean, and comfortable. The airport shuttle only runs once an hour. The room was really nice, and hotel staff was all friendly and helpful. Room service was fast but they screwed up my order and undercooked the burger. The business center is a pay per minute use so you're looking a $5 just to check your email. The airport shuttle only runs on the hour so it's always full and people got left behind.

Marriott brand. Hotel is in dire need of renovation. The hotel needs a renovation ASAP. The HVAC system was so loud in my first room that I had them to move me. The second room wasn't much quieter. Very small restroom and the towels were what one would expect at a sleep cheap.

Comfortable beds. No microwave accessible to guests. No breakfast included. Breakfast at hotel too expensive. No Christian TV channels. Was warned by local residents that this area is not considered safe at night, however parking was convenient, but not as well lit in some parking areas. Sprinkler system kept ground soggy and shoes were difficult to keep clean. Room had a very comfortable bed, and access to hotel was easy on and off freeway. Check-in staff made guests arriving late night to feel as though they were a bother to them. Housekeeping staff very friendly and made you feel very comfortable. Breakfast not included, no microwave access to guest breakfast overpriced, but fast food restaurants nearby. No Christian TV channels available.

Was pretty. Not a lot to do in the immediate area. What was not under renovation was nice, there was no gift shop, breakfast buffet was ok. Room service was fast but food was over cooked, hotel door by pool said sauna/women's restroom but there was no sauna found, room was nice, clean and quiet, hallway to room stank bad.

Spacious room, nice bed. Construction, few TV channels. Very nice hotel, formerly the Wyndham. There was still some construction was going on downstairs and in a few rooms. It was noisy the first couple of days due to a dance competition being there (pre-teen girls). Otherwise, it was more than nice. Only complaint is about the choice of locals plus about 8 cable channels for TV.

Quality of facilities and staff beyond exceptional! Overall, our stay was excellent. Minor issues/needs were addressed immediately and to our satisfaction. Our only complaint has to do with the dining.

Beautiful, luxurious, friendly front desk staff. Restaurant service was non-existent. This is a beautiful hotel, with a magnificent lobby, and luxurious rooms. The night front desk person (I arrived very late) was very helpful and friendly. However, I attempted to have breakfast there, and after being seated no one ever acknowledged by presence and I had to go elsewhere for my meal.

Was great for the price. Was not happy they were doing room construction directly above me. Very nice hotel. In a sketchy part of town, but when you are in the hotel parking lot and in the hotel, you feel very safe. Parking lot is well lit and I always saw security. I don't like the fact that they put me in a room directly below renovation construction. That hotel is plenty big enough that they can keep guest away from the construction. Otherwise, a very nice stay and hotel.

Location, cleanliness and staff. Business centre was closed for renovations. The hotel was exceptional in most major areas; however I was disappointed that I was not informed that the business center was closed for renovation. I was able to request needed documents by fax, but I was given the wrong fax number by hotel staff. Fortunately, I received my documents before my scheduled meeting. Otherwise, the hotel was quite nice. I am grateful that I was able to stay at such a splendid hotel.
