We liked the stylish, comfortable rooms. We happened to get a room with two full size beds, not comfortable for 2 grown adults. We loved the convenient location, the facilities, the clean rooms, and friendly staff!

I travel often for my job and am always weary of going to a new hotel. I was unable to get into my usual hotel in the Mission Valley, so I tried this hotel instead, as I am a Hilton Honors member. I was quite surprised and had a wonderful stay. When I arrived to the hotel the Valets opened my door for me and held my car as I checked in. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. In order to do self parking (* per day normally but I got a package deal that included parking) I had to go by a parking booth with attendant which I liked because some hotels do not monitor their parking lots very well. My room was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. I got a great view of the valley which was very pretty at night as the sun set. Great service in the restaurant and with room service--loved the breakfast buffet. Got options to keep to my low carb diet, which was great! Was so impressed, next time I'm in San Diego I will be staying here.

When I go to San Diego I like to stay away from the coast and in the hills (Houston has no mountains or hills). The Mission Valley area is great and the hotel is nestled up to the side of one of those hills, and the mountains to the east are visible on a clear day. The hotel staff was courteous and helped me get into my room early when I had a health problem. It is an affordable hotel, with ample facilities for families and business travelers, and near shopping and affordable food.

Thought I was getting a good deal on orbitz on the price but come to find out, parking was NOT INCLUDED....$14 EXTRA per night. wifi in the roon NOT INCLUDED. Stayed on the 7th floor and could still hear ppl in the pool even after 10 pm. Water in the shower the first and last days was not hot.

First visit to San Diego and we had an enjoyable stay at the Hilton Mission Valley. We were greeted by the friendly valet and front desk staff. Our room was located on the 9th floor. The room was clean and our double beds were most comfortable. We found the hotel to be centrally located to all the attractions we were visiting, Sea World, SD Zoo, Balboa Park and the beaches. The desk staff recommended several area restaurants which were suitable for families and a couple were in walking distance. We were also able to walk to the nearby mall for a movie theatre. Overall, we enjoyed our first time visit to San Diego and we Thank the Hilton Staff for making it even better.

The service at this hotel was a nightmare. The boiler went down, so there was no cold water in the morning. OK ? I understand, maintenance issues occur and some inconvenience is expected. The lobby sent up a key to a room on the 6th floor, at which my family could take turns showering. I was the first to arrive at the appointed shower room. The room was used and in disgusting shape. There were no clean towels (towels all were used and thrown on the floor in heaps) or toiletries. Were they trying to save on cleaning another room by only offering an already used room in which to shower? I called down again and was given a different room in which my family could shower. I complained via telephone (I was not a happy camper) and was told the hotel would comp the Internet charge. Hurray. We each filed down from floor 14 to 6 one at a time to shower. At check-out the lady knew nothing of the free Internet, and proceeded to charge me. I finally spoke to someone who knew what they were doing, but that person kept answering the phone and ignoring us, so I just checked out. The staff was rude, and the service was not deserving of the Hilton brand.

I did a variety of activities and the Hilton was centrally located for everything I wanted to do. The staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous; the room was great. My only criticism is the "cracking" noise made as the windows expand and contract with temperature differences inside and outside (reason according to staff) Garage under the hotel with elevator up to lobby was convenient and I always felt safe. I would definitely consider staying there again. I thought the in-hotel dining was a bit pricey.

I stayed at the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley with my family in March and had an excellent stay. We were absolutely impressed by the courteous and prompt service that the staff offered. The Hilton breakfast buffet had a good selection of food to choose from and it all tasted good too. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in San Diego...

Extra charges for parking, internet both in your room as well as wireless in lobby. The pool was cold so the kids didn't want to go in.

We were staying with our 2 sons ages 13 & 16 and our 2 small dogs. The first night we stayed we were to have a pet bed for our dogs. The hotel had none available for us. Our room was very nice and clean and the beds were comfortable to sleep in. We did get the dog bed the second night. Also the room description stated we could add a roll away bed to our room, but the staff said no. The first night of our stay was bad because we were across from the conference room and they people in the conference room were very loud until about 3 am. I did complain in the morning to the front desk and the lady did not seem to care at all. The other 2 nights were fine there was no noise and they brought us the pet bed after we asked the new staff members, they also brought us extra blankets to make a bed on the floor for my son. Over all I was happy with the nice room and the comfortable beds.

We really enjoyed our stay there over New Year's. The room was very clean and upated. It had nice views of the city lights at night which we found found romantic to look out to from our bed. We had breakfast in bed every morning and the breakfast food and selection was great. The room service was friendly and prompt. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I asked them where we could rent some bikes and the lady at the front desk wrote us a long note of trail locations and left it under our door. So nice. The service in the downstairs bar was not very good when we were there. But we did not hang out there much. The weather was San Diego gloom and fog, but this hotel really made up for the weather as we louged in bed and in our lovely room. A very nice place to stay overall. We were a little bummed by the parking rates of like $14.95 a day to park there, but I guess that is the big city for you. I rate this place a fabulous place to stay.

The room was modern and beds were very comfortable. The only thing that threw me off was the * nightly charge for parking if you didn't do valet. If you are going to be going in and out a lot in the evening, I suggest doing valet because the parking is extremely tight and difficult to come by. I arrived back to the hotel on Saturday evening to find only a few available spaces and I had to squeeze into the only one that was a possibility. Also, the rooms do not mute noise from the hall or other rooms very good. Other than these things, the stay was very nice and comfortable.

Location. Our room was not sound proof. We could not sleep. Normal conversation of the guest next door could be heard in our room. This was awful.

I called in advanced to reserve a crib but when we arrived, we were told that they were out. Also, I called the front desk to request different pillows since I am allergic to down and they never brought any to us. The following night we made the same requests with the same results. We ended our trip a night early because sleeping three people in a queen sized bed and waking up two mornings with a rash from the pillows was enough. The Hilton wouldn?t refund our money for the night

the rooms had a promo with free meals that we printed and took with us, the hotel did not honor ,said that was with cheap tickets travel, they would not honor meals, we asked for frig to keep cold drinks, they were charging 10.00 a day. we had to get shuttle or bus stop to get around closest stop was 1 1/2 miles, the bar drinks were very pricy 19.00 for 2 drinks, will not stay there again
