I cannot say enough about this hotel. The service was fantastic, the staff were very professional and gracious, and the room was immaculate. Unlike other "tower" shaped hotels I have stayed in which have very small pie shaped rooms, the Hilton's rooms were spacious and comfortable. When I return to Memphis, this will be my prefered hotel! Another admittedly objective thing I loved about this hotel is that, unlike every other place I stayed, their beds did not cause we to have difficulties with my back after sleeping in them!

Generally it was a good stay with a few details gone wrong. Both front corners of the toilet were cracked off where it meets the floor... not a BIG deal that affects functionality... but this is a Hilton and you don't expect cracked toilets. Having drinks and ice on alternating floors is a drag. If they're going to charge 8 for valet parking (on top of the tips) they should put a sign on the valet station saying "Valet Parking 8" instead of it just popping up on the bill. I think next time I'll go with a Holiday Inn and get an in room hot tub and a direct from parking lot entrance to my (handicapped) room for the same price.

For our wedding night, we arrived in our wedding attire (bouquet and all) and didn't get as much as a congrats from the clerk. Not that big a deal, but still...

I like the overall appearance and comfort of the hotel. I feel the restaurant could improve with food offering and service. I really enjoyed the hotel. Very nice open bar are, friendly staff. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. There was really just a few restaurants within walking distance. I found the staff very friendly, however seemed maybe a bit understaffed at the restaurant, therefore service was a bit slow. All in all I would stay here again.

My family and I traveled to Memphis, TN to visit relatives. Our trip was from Aug. 22-24, 2008. We had called 2 times prior to our arrival several weeks before to make sure our room was confirmed. We were always greeted with professionalism. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the doormen who helped us to our room with our luggage. The hotel lobby is AMAZING! It's so pretty, open, and clean. The gentlemen at the front desk were very talkative and upbeat when checking us in. We had traveled 5 hours (two kids ages 9 and 5), so we were anxious to get to our room--check in was quick and efficient. Our room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. One entire wall was made of many windows overlooking the pool and the fish pond below. There was a flat screen t.v.--would have liked to have seen a DVD player in the room. The only complaint I would have would be that the bathroom area (toliet/shower&bath) was TOO small. You could barely turn around in there, but the sink area was nice as was the storage closet. Overall, we were extremely pleased and would definitely recommend this hotel. CLEAN, AFFORDABLE, FRIENDLY!! WE WILL BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!!!

I would think twice about this hotel next time. The carpet was very dirty and you could hear people talking in the hallway all night. The water took for ever to drian out of the bathtub & sinks. The room door was hard to close and falling of the frame and made a loud noise when you close it. The lobby looks Great, but when you get to your room It look totally different from that end. I think it's time for a renovation to match the rooms with the lobby.

Impressive looking hotel in a very nice area of Memphis. That is all that can be said for this hotel.Stay began with a 15+ minute wait for a valet. Finally, I just self-parked. Room was dirty and in poor condition with worn carpets, stained toilet & large amounts of hair on the shower wall. Public areas, other than the very nice lobby, were also in poor repair and I had to go to three different floors before I found a working ice machine.Ordered room service pizza (which was almost inedible) and was overcharged by 250%!!! on the drinks and 25% on the listed delivery charge. I had to literally show the rude front-desk clerk the room-service menu before she admitted the mistake and reluctantly removed the extra charges. She WOULD NOT remove the excess sales tax on the overcharge, but I didn't feel like continuing the argument and left it at that.I wondered when I booked why a high-rise hotel in a nice area had such reasonable rates. Now I know.I WILL NOT be returning the the Hilton Memphis.

The Hotel Memphis is very pleasing to the eye with great color schemes and spacious. The common areas appear very clean except the water fountain which was too dirty to bring myself to take a sip of water from. The staff upon check-in was very kind to go ahaed and put us on the same floor as another couple we were there to visit. The room was standard and I found it to be unclean. I had to ask for the bedspread to be replaced for there was a stain that looked like someone had recently ate something on the bed, the toilet was soiled and the tub was also dirty that I thought we were given a room that belonged to someone else. The bar staff were somewhat unfriendly. The gift shop was very nice. The ladies restrooms were not stocked with women's hygiene products, even after I asked on several occasions, so when an emergency struck it was made worse by having to go to the gift shop for a purchase. I was lucky they sold necessary products. Very satisifed with the anemities provided by the hotel - the pool area was very clean, towels were always made available, I liked that there were restrooms, shower and phone made available in the pool area. It was very convenient to have a computer available to obtain boarding passes for flights. It made the whole process a stress free one. Great idea with location of the designated smoking area. The exercise room was clean and well equipped. Was extremely helpful with our questions and assisting us with taxis. One major reason I would not recommend this hotel aside from the uncleanliness of the room is that it is a bit of a taxi ride away from downtown Memphis & Graceland. The courtesy hotel van service was Great and a God send after spending much of our vacation money on taxis. If we had known how expensive the taxi would be, we would have rented a car. This option was offered by the hotel but our stay wasn't long enough to warrent getting a car after the first 2 days. Overall I found the hotel to be fairly economical, we had a great

When we got there the computer at the desk delayed us a hour at check in. Not sure if it was the computer or our early check in tome of around 10:30AM.The room was wonderful except the AC didn?t seem to be working. The fan was blowing and the temperature was set at 65 but it never seemed to get cooler than 75 in there. Told the staff and the problem remained.Room service was good and the food pretty darn good. We were both pleased. Breakfast buffet was really good. Highly recommended. Front lobby was comfortable and convenient. Good stay with the exception of the room temperature.

Way to far from downtown. The room was dirty. sink and bathtub were not cleaned. Dirty glasses left out and not replaced. Ice bucket was not cleaned or emptied. For a hilton the room was not kept to there standards.

It looked great, great decor and loved the jacuzzi. Awesome; one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

No free cup of coffee in the lobby and if you want a newspaper you will have to wait until the gift store opens at 8:00. Wireless connection lasted 3 and 1/2 hours for $9.95. HVAC was being renovated but little care was taken to drape the areas being worked on. Very disappointed for a Hilton, which is usually my place of preference.
