Hotel was very very nice. The staff made the hotel stay truly worthwhile. They gave us everything we asked for and then some. Getting to the actual room was a bit confusing. Needs better markings within the hotel for directions. Really enjoyed our stay here. Celeste Duffus, the receptionist at the front desk, was simply wonderful and helpful every step of our stay there. I booked 2 rooms for a Father's Day celebration gift to my dad and he loved it. This woman was so wonderful that I am going to write a letter to her supervisor at the hotel. She went above and beyond. The pool was awesome and the chairs by the pool were extremely pretty and comfortable.

Eco Shower dribbles water - Outside menu very limited and outragously priced - drinks outrageously priced - Called the Miller man to come get the High Life. Waited 4 hours for house keeping request delivered at 11:30 PM - Front desk staff very cold. No one inquired about our stay at check out. Shuttle schedule to and from beach not reliable due to traffic. Rooms were typical - nice view. Restaruants within walking distance. Water Taxi stop is nice. Good bed.

We needed a place to stay the night before our cruise left from Ft. Lauderdale. We were able to get a promotional rate at the Grande (had just re-opened, I believe) and we couldn't have been happier there. The location is great - close to the cruise ships, right on the water and a short cab ride to the shops and restaurants on Las Olas. The optional fresh fruit and 6-pack of beer that we had hand-delivered to our room was also a great added touch. The outside spaces were to die for - I wish we had another night (or two!) to stay there and enjoy all that the Grande had to offer.

I had a great time. i came down for a getaway from the everyday mundane and found it.I didn't rent a car because I didn't expect to do anything but hang by the pool and got to the beach. When I arrived there were other things that interest me food, drink, tours, museums, etc.. A 15 min cab ride was nearly $30!! I could have rent a car for a day for those prices. Besides not complaints. The water taxi picks you up from the hotel deck. You ride all day for $13! The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. i almost slept better than I do when I'm home. There is a french bakery across the street at the cruise pier...great breakfast and starbucks down the street. The hotel only had elegant dining. There is also a casual but very nice dinner restaurant across in same area of bakery, called Jackson's Bar & Grill. The staff was nice at both places and the food was good.

Have stayed there once before, It is convenient to the Princess Cruise Line boarding area, which you can walk too. Very nice but pricey.

We decided to stay at the Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel due to the location. It is only 10 minutes (2miles) from the airport and is located right on the Intercoastal Waterways. We stayed there one night before our cruise departure. The cruise ships are visible from the hotel and you can either take a taxi or a water taxi to the cruise ship port. A short 5 minute ride. Our room was on the 11th floor and had a beautiful view of the waterways and outdoor pool. It offered both luxury and convenience. Rooms were extremely clean. The room was fashionably decorated in new decor and the beds were very comfortable. This hotel is like new and is in a perfect location for eveything. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again! My family and I loved this place!!

This hotel was just ok. I have stayed at other Hiltons that were far better. Parking was $23/day which is crazy. Location was nice but I grew up in Ft Lauderdale and have stayed at much nicer places (my husband wanted to stay at this Hilton... he wishes he would have listened to me). The pool was nice but the room was just average. The front desk woman was very polite. They also had a crib ready for our baby when we got to our room which was very nice.

High rise property, excellent views and close to everything. Parking is $20 per night and valet $23 per night. Small but elegant rooms, bathrooms could be a little more private.

We loved the decor and the pool - very modern tropical chic. Our room was a generous size, with Lux linens, flat screen TV. The bed was a bit too soft for us. There was a terrific coffee maker in the room that made coffee or tea. The staff was helpful and pleasant. It was very quiet. Everything felt bright & breezy. Beautiful landscaping especially at the pool. The lock on our sliding door to the balcony was questionable. We would return The China Grill resturant was not good. We ordered room service - a light supper for the Super Bowl- ceasar salad, cheese quesadillas, and a hamburger. There were so many croutons in the salad that we had to pick the lettuce out between the croutons. There was about the equivalent of 1/3 loaf of bread. The quesedillas were greasy with only the slightest toasting.The hamburger was ordinary w/ ordinary bread. Expensive There were a number of nice semi-casual resturants for dinner and coffee shiops for breakfast in the area within walking distance. Also there is a Walgreens nearby for odds & ends.

The Fort Lauderdale Grande provided the best customer service I have ever encountered. The employees went over and above to provide us with an extremely pleasant stay--including a surprise birthday cake from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers.

The Grande is newly remodeled and very lovely. It is on the Intracoastal, not the beach , making it a better choice for convention goers, pre post cruisers and those who want to bask by a pool , than those who want to enjoy the Ocean.It's not walking distance. Beuatiful rooms though and a newly opened China Grill on premises.

Resturant was way overpriced. Rooms similar to a moderately priced hotel. Were within walking distance to other restaurants. Hotel was convenient to cruise ship departure points. Overall experience was o.k., but we didn't feel it was worth the amount paid.

The hotel is ok, if you can find a decent price for the room. Do not buy anything from the hotel, for everything is so expensive, especially the bar. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The shower is probably the worst design I have ever seen. Only half a door so water just pours out onto the the bathroom floor. The location is ok, water taxi stop is at your hotel so that will help. Must pay to park if you have a car and are a GUEST. Something like 19 bucks a day.....big pet peeve of mine. All in all I would stay there again but would look around a little before I booked it.

The staff was friendly. Dirty glass in room. Well first there was a bowel movement in pool which it's not the hotel's fault when the manager was told a worker was cleaning out pool while the manager let people swim. Then there was a dirty glass in room. called for towels took 45 min that's only because I called back the second time. I did voice my concern to staff and they did bring a bowl of fruit to my room.
