Our stay at the Hilton Istanbul started with being upgraded to a corner room. We weren't told that the room was directly above very noisy construction that was on going 24/7. Even with a "white noise" machine and the fans in the room, the noise was overpowering. We let the manager know the problem, but the construction was by the city and the hotel was full. Our last day there was Easter Sunday. We were approved for a late check out, but when we returned to our room to complete packing for our flight, the room keys no longer worked. We were very upset. We met with the front desk manager who promised a refund of 1 night's lodging, but even with 3 emails to him and 1 to the equivalent of the "better business bureau" in Istanbul, we have received no response and no reimbursement. We prepaid our hotel expenses through Orbitz, so he would not give us a direct refund, nor pay for our taxi to the airport instead for some compensation.

Unfortunaly it seemed as if Orbitz had payed only for a standard room and not for an executive room with access to the exclusive lounge on the 14th floor with free breakfast, drinks, WLAN...what WE have booked and payed for. After a long discussion with the staff, they let us go to the lounge, but the room in the cellar could not be changed
