recived sub standard service in the dining room.

It was beautiful! The elevator took way too long (probably because there were a lot of people going to the same concert) The hotel exceeded my expectations! It was decorated very nicely, giving it an upscale look. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the view from the room (especially at sunrise) was awesome!

The hotel's staff was excellent , from the bellman to house keeping! However, this property is getting a little long in the tooth and needs an upgrade. This is not a good value for the money spent.

I got a suite in the hotel so that I could celebrate my birthday with a few friends but could not even do that because of a terrible venting system that carried noise down to the floor below. I couldn't understand why I was getting noise complaints from the floor below and no one could hear anything from outside the door or even from the bedroom in the suite. The manager was extremely rude and even entered my room without knocking.

It was great to have an in-house cafe/restaurant and attached parking both of which facilitate getting started in the morning-we used the hotel as an overnight stop-over on the way to New York City. Also,it was very close to the highway and downtown restaurants/sights. I would definately stay there again. The beds were very comfortable also.

The small amenities such as the pool, and sauna are nice. No easily accessable resources near the hotel.

Stayed here for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament next door at the Hartford Civic Center. Very luxurious linens and comfortable beds, nice restaurant downstairs, recommended.

The Hartford Hilton was in the center of downtown Hartford right next to the XL Center which was a plus and the nightlife near by was pretty good as well. I loved the view of the city from our room and how clean and neat it was. The hotel restaurant had really good food, but was a bit pricey. The bed was a little too firm, but the pillows really comfortable. Overall a good visit and would stay there again.

Very clean! Bar service was slow. The hotel was great. It was very clean and the location in the city of Hartford was awesome. I didn't like how slow the bar service was and the fact that on Sunday morning the restaurant was packed. I would stay there again for sure though.

Rooms very small. Small easy chair w/o ottoman, very small closet, toilet next to tub, you have to shut door to get out of tub, tv kept shorting out, maintenance called twice to fix it, housekeeping efficient and friendly. You can smell the kitchen from the elevators and in the hallways. Restaurant overpriced, lukewarm food, bad service, charged 18% gratuity on a breakfast buffet, had to ask 3x for beverages, etc. Final outrage, my mother sat on bench in locker room and it tore out of wall and collapsed to floor causing large bruise and breaking skin on her leg.

Last weekend, a few friends and I went to the Hilton Hartford. We wanted to enjoy the day in Hartford, so we we tried to check-in at 1:30pm (check-in was scheduled for 3pm). The front desk said that currently they have no rooms available and to come back in an hour or so. My friends and I walked around and came back exactly for 3pm. There was a huge line for check-in and when we finally made it to the front. They said the housekeeping staff was overwhelmed and to check back in 30 mins. Promptly, I returned to find that the rooms were still not cleaned and to check back in another 30 mins. I asked if there was a specific time that I could return when my room would be ready instead of sitting at the lobby cafe to keep getting in the long line every 20 mins. No one could help. Finally 2.5 hours after check-in time, we finally got into our room after much aggravation. Be aware.

Very clean, great location down town, close to sons college. Having to pay $18 for parking under the hotel. Hotel should pick up this expense. The hotel was very comfortable. The only bad thing is we were woken up at 7:00 A.M. and evacuated from the hotel. There was a false fire alarm. This is the second time this has happened to me in Hartford.

If this hotel wasn't so convenient for my business, I wouldn't stay there. The value for the money is terrible.

It was close to my business appointment. The room was not sound-proofed. I could hear televisions and conversations clearly from adjacent rooms. The room service menu was unsophisticated and limited largely to "bar food" like chicken wraps and potatoes skins. Finally, the staff neglected to tell me that I had to have the garage ticket stamped at the desk before leaving, causing me to drive all the way to the clerk only to be told that I had to drive back to have the ticket stamped. In summary, the only good attribute about the hotel is that it is conveniently located; the rest is not what I expect of a Hilton.

The convenient location from I91. Charge for parking my car. Should not be a charge. The hotel was convenient, clean and friendly but, the parking charge was a bit of an insult.

Location. No microwave or refrigerator. Centrally located in downtown Hartford. Pleasant staff. Comfortable rooms.

The staff was exceptionally courteous. The attention to detail was impressive. The outdoor patio dining had a revolving door so there was no possibility of spilling coffee in one hand while carrying breakfast plate in other. The downtown neighborhood was convenient to freeways.

It's attached to the XL Center and a great place to stay after a concert. It's not near any major shopping areas. I brought my niece and her friends to CT to see the American Idols tour. Not only were we staying in this hotel, but the American Idols were too! The girls got their autographs and pictures; at the age of 16, it was a dream come true for them! I highly recommend this hotel!

Convenience of hotel location to the event I was attending. The air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night. The hotel was very nice. Thank you.

The location was perfect for where we wanted to go. The hotel was clean and well appointed for the most part. The staff leaves something to be desired, the rooms should be checked after each guest and damage should be taken care of in a quicker manner. This hotel is perfect for those wanting to access nightlife in Downtown Hartford. It is within walking distance to just about everything. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are comfortable, although the beds are small and there was a piece of our ceiling that was falling down. The staff leaves something to be desired. They are just not the friendliest, nor do they go above and beyond the call of duty - in fact, most of the time they fall just short of their duties. All in all, if you are looking for a clean, safe hotel in Downtown Hartford, within walking distance to everything, and don't mind a little hostility from the hotel staff, I would recommend the Hilton Hartford.
