Great location, friendly staff, free internet access. No to/from airport shuttle. I was very pleased with this hotel: very clean; friendly staff; awesome shampoo/conditioner/soap.

Great place to stay, the hotel has very high standards in terms of cleanliness and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly in planning excursions to see the city. Service in their dining area was a little slow. WiFi is only available in the lobby, so bring your dataport cable. The hotel is located close to city transportation, which was helpful to us. The pool and whirlpool were clean and towels were available. The city is very dog friendly...loved the sit, stay bench outside the front door!

I've stayed here on numerous occasions and have enjoyed my visit. It's ideally located at the Gaslamp Quarter and various restaurants and clubs. Don't forget Petco Park. Great place to watch a baseball game. Plan to visit again on the 4th of July.

We were visiting San Diego for the first time. The hotel is in a great location for getting to all major attractions. Short ride to zoo, coronado, and even La jolla. The fish tacos from room service were great! No wi-fi in the room. I have a new netbook and there was no router in the room. that was frustrating. The rooms were plain as was the hotel but functional and seemed to work well for families and business travelers. I believe that for couples or singles you could find a more interesting option.

I've stayed here on a number of occassions and will return. It's convenient to Petco Park, restaurants, trolley and bay. Great place to meander throughout the city and also to visit Coronado. For a fun and relaxing experience, the Hilton Gaslamp Quarters is the place to be.

Location. Close to baseball, restaurants, Coronado Beach, Zoo, Sea World, etc. Front desk staff was not friendly. Catered more for business travelers or couples without children; however, it is close to all major attractions in San Diego (Convention Center, Baseball Stadium, Zoo, Sea World, Coronado Beaches, etc). If you are traveling with kids and plan to visit attractions (i.e.: spend little time in the room).

Before we checked in, they told us there would be a charge if we checked out early. Why would we check out early from a room over * a night? The middle of summer, no windows for fresh air, no air conditioning, no mini-fridge for water or anything else, the pool was murky, the only "smoking section" was in the corner behind a a pillar with no seating making me feel like a criminal, no ventilation, fan or window in the bathroom, signs on the towels stating we would be charged extra if we used them and did not pick them up afterward, two small drinks in the bar costing * BEFORE tip. We hadn't been on vacation since my youngest was 6 months old and moving her away to college this week was going to be our treat to ourselves. DID NOT HAPPEN. We left after being in the hotel for only two hours and did not look back.

The parking fee of $32 and pool was little chilly. Nice hotel with good location and clean comfortable rooms.

The staff there was wonderful and extremely helpfull with directions. We got our tickets to the zoo right at the hotel and didn't have to wait in the long lines. The only downside was it was a little expensive for meals etc. The location was fantastic also, right in the middle of the Gaslamp Quarter, easy walk to LOTS of resturants of every kind.

This is a gorgeous hotel, the design is cutting edge and I've seen nothing like it in my travels. The rooms are wonderfully designed as are the lobby, pool and restaurant. The location couldn't be better, in the heart of Gaslamp, beside the Petco stadium and convention center. Only complaint is that it took a lot of calls to get my room serviced every day on a 5 day visit. Never had any housekeeping service one day. Incredible place for a vacation though.

The room was like new,very pretty with lots of space. The location was just the best for the gaslamp area. The parking was all valet, no self parking. This worked out great for the area. Overall I would give it a 9.5 out of 10.

The staff was welcoming and very attentive. The hot tub wasn't working. The conveniently located Gaslamp Hilton offers hip design and a quiet retreat from the busy downtown San Diego.
