My wife and I loved the location and all the shopping within walking distance. The MAX light rail which is only a block away makes getting around very convenient. The service was 5+ stars. especially at the lobby restaurant; 921 Bistro.

The hotel is in a great location, but that?s it. When you first walk into the hotel lobby, your immediate response will be "WOW," but as you go up to your room, the hallways are narrow and the rooms are very cramped with very little amenities. Also, you will be charged * per night per car to park your car (I was unaware of this), internet cost $9.99 per 24 hours or you can use their computer in the lobby for $.59 per minute. Lastly, depending on your location in the hotel, you might have to leave the premises and walk across the street to use the gym, because the gym in my building was available for a fee. However, the pool was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is just a lot of unexpected fees.

Excellent location, lots of walking opportunities and light rail is close by. Request a corner room. Saturday morning farmers' market was a pleasant discovery and activity at nearby Pioneer Square was entertaining, as was the riverfront park. Room was clean and comfortable.

I booked with the Hilton because of the percieved quality and luxury of a great hotel experience. I was a bit disappointed. The room was supposed to be a king and it was listed as so, but it ended up being a queen. The room was very cramped and tiny. I am skinny (visited to run marathon)and could barely shimmy into the bathroom. Also, the AC never got the room cool after being on all the time and being set at 65 degrees. Nothing was complimentary and I needed to check one thing on the internet, but it cost $9. No courtesy ones in the lobby. I didn't change the room, because I usually don't complain about things and go with the flow,but there were enough things here that added up to make by stay disappointing. If this is company wide, I would not stay at a Hilton again. Too bad really when some of the details are easy to accommodate and fix.

Frequent traveler to Portland on business (normally stay at budget type hotels near airport)but stayed here on a mini vacation trip and was very impressed with the value for my money. Room was very clean with nice amenities and also very quiet. Would definitely stay again. The one downside parking is a hassle and you will have to pay extra if you drive there.

There was no line and it was easy to check in. We had two double beds - very comfortable and slept well. The bathroom is small but efficient, well-appointed and clean. There was a line at check out, and only one person at the desk. So, it took about 20 minutes - thus, 4 stars. This could just have been a fluke. Everyone that worked there seemed very hospitable, friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere downtown - location is great. Saturday Market, Powell's, Cafes, etc. Recommend renting a car for Portland - after one full day downtown, probably want to get out and explore neighborhoods and coast.

We stayed for an anniversary evening. It was a beautiful hotel located in the center of downtown. There are several shops and dining establishments within walking distance to enjoy. We had a great view of the downtown area from the 17th floor. It was the best hotel experience my husband and I have had yet.

Room was small and cramped. Only one out of four elevators were in working order. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Would NEVER stay again!

Embassey suites. free GOOD a.m. b/fast. free drinks 3 to 5. larger rooms with liveing area. Worth a extra 100 to 175.

Very nice, clean, excellent employee service. Parking garage was very cramped & difficult to maneuver in mid size car. The hotel was very nice with an upscale look. The employees provided excellent service. The room & bathroom were smaller, but had all the features I wanted. The parking garage was small and difficult to maneuver; plus parking was an additional charge. The bedding and room were very comfortable overall. I would stay here again.

I loved this hotel, the staff was super friendly. The room was pricey but the beds were very comfortable. It was convenient to the shopping, restaurants and downtown amenities.

We went there because of all of the ads about the restaurant and bar on the top floor. Unfortunately they closed in December 2006. The room would be fine if you are alone. But be prepared to climb over the bed to get around if there is more than one in your room. Location was good if you really need to be downtown, but its dead on the weekends. Desk clerk was very helpful: they recommended the bar and restaurant at the hotel accross the street. That says it all!Portland is easy to get around by car. You're better off staying near the airport (rates lower) and driving where you need to go.

The Hilton was located perfectly for what we came to Ptld for. We walked everywhere we went, and were never far from home. The room was more than big enough for a Grandma, Mom, and 2 young girls. The beds were cozy, and the view was AWESOME!!! The pool offered two morning swims and a release of energ for the girls. All in all it was perfect.

We stayed here last week for 3 nights while my husband attended a business conference in this hotel. The location of the hotel is great, close to shops and within walking distance to transportation if needed. The registration area is very impressive, however once you get up onto the floors, not so impressive. The hallways were narrow and almost looked like apartments. The rooms were very small. The beds were comfortable. My three biggest complaints would have to be: 1. Why would anyone put in glass doors to a bathroom? In the morning the light from the bathroom was terrible for those of us continuing to sleep. 2. No way to regulate our own temperature. Didn't matter that we set the thermostat at 70, the room never got below 80. 3. Had to pay extra for wireless internet. At the cost of that room the internet should have been included. On a positive note, the pool was awesome, and the lady staffing the desk at the pool was super nice!

Some friends and I stayed here for a women of faith conference in October. When I first saw the beds I was a bit nervous that they would be too small but I was amazed at the comfort! We all had a great night of sleep. we did not use the pool or exercise facility but we could see them from our room and they looked very nice and well kept. The pool looked clean and the view from our room also overlooked a little patio area that was quite nice. We were all impressed and happy with our room. It would have been a plus to have a microwave, but we appreciate the refridgerator and coffee pot. I am one who gets lost really easliy but this was easy to find and we were able to ride the max for free to the Rose Garden and that worked out so nice. They were in the middle of construction all in that area so we did some circling the streets for a while but that had nothing to do with the motel. We had a wonderful time and were treated very well, I would definately stay again and wished we could have stayed for more then one night.
