The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The touring agent was very helpful and the valet staff were great.

Over booked and no room the first night. Bumped to a neighbor hotel. Beautiful hotel, but upon arrival was informed that they were overbooked and we were being sent to a different hotel (the Mansion). Very nice second hotel, however we were informed the next morning that it was only for one night (the hotel staff at the Hilton did not tell us this). We were only in town for one full day and had to spend too much time traveling back and forth between hotels, and it completely intervened with our plans (especially since our room the second night was not even ready by 4:30PM). Overall, two very nice hotels, but was not impressed that we didn't have a room and were told this is just something that happens all the time, there's nothing we can do.

From walking in to the front desk to the bell-person putting me in the cab back to the airport everyone was friendly and helpful. Requested services were attended to very quickly. It was clean. It was comfortable. The location was great in relation to city sight-seeing. Cabs were also readily available. What more could one want from a place to stay?

The staff was very friendly. The room was kindof old and outdated. We went out touring and we came back later that evening and our room, which had been fine before, was burning up. We called the desk and someone came immediately to look at it . We were switched to a different room with no questions asked, that was very nice. I guess on a scale of 1-10 I would rate the hotel a 6.But they were in the process of renovating.

The hotel location was wonderful. We only got our car out twice! The staff was great and so friendly. There were just little problems that I wasn't expecting with the Hilton brand of hotels. Our first room smelled distinctly of cigarette smoke, despite the fact that we had requested a non smoking room. The bathroom doorknob was broken--you got stuck inside! The staff gave us a free upgrade to a larger room. It was nice, but the shower knob didn't work properly. Cold was hot and hot was cold, it was loose and threatend to come off in your hand. The hot water to the sink was turned off, which we discovered on our second night. All just little problems. At a Hilton, though I expect those little things to not be an issue. Little things separate a great hotel from a mediocre one. All in all we liked our stay. The staff was happy to help, friendly, and quick to rectify any problem in a satisfactory manner.

I liked that this hotel is pet friendly and newly renovated. I did not like the pool or the parking garage. The pool was old and so was the parking garage.

My 6 year old couldn't swim in the heated pool because the water was very cold. The exercise center was being renovated and so I couldn't exercise. The handle on the shower kept falling off. Employees were nice and the room otherwise was okay. Good location but building not much to look at. We had reservation for 2 nights but stayed just 1.

I was a little hesitant about booking a room here after reading some of the reviews but because of the location and price I couldn't pass it up. All that worry was for nothing. There was some contruction going on but it did not disrupt our stay. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the location was perfect. We never had to drive once we got to the hotel. We ate breakfast there once. It was a little pricey but the buffet was excellent and we had room service one night and it arrived quickly and was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and were more than willing to offer advice on places to see. We had a great trip. We never made it to the pool but it was nice to know it was there and several other guests said it was great.

This may be the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at. Over the last 5 years I have spent 100s of nights in hotels for business and pleasure. I visit Savannah twice a month for business and I have stayed at this hotel several times. Each time I say I will never stay there again, these last two stays were the straws that broke the camels back. While they are going a huge renovation (which I understand) the service from the staff is really what needs attention. I experienced several problems and nobody seemed to care. Save you money and stay somewhere else. There are many newer hotels to choose from, this one is not worth it at all.

This Hilton is HORRIBLE!! Our room was OLD, small, da and dirty! The carpet had sooo many soil spots on it, that we had to wear shoes all the time. The A/C DID NOT work properly. We reported it immediately, and we had to complain for several days before anyone even came to look at it. It did get cooler, but never was as cool as it should have been. The room key DID NOT WORK properly!!! Upon returning, we had to get a maid to let us in or GO DOWNSTAIRS , wait and have someone meet us there just so we could get in our own room!! We asked just to be moved to another room, were told we couldn't because the hotel was 100% booked when there were empty rooms all around us! THE FRONT DESK STAFF COULD HAVE CARED LESS!!!

We loved our weekend at this hotel, it was within walking distance to everything in historic Savannah. The hotel was safe, clean, pet friendly (especially important to us) and the parking was affordable as well. We would absolutely stay here again when we return to Savannah!

I am a single traveler and went for the 4th of July Holiday. I was a little leary about staying here after reading some of the reveiws. But I can honestly say, I had a great experience. Yes, the hotel apparently was in need of major updating and they are in the process of renovations. My room was very clean and nice - I am not sure if they already refurbished my room but it was in excellent shape. The hallways and lobby were very nice. The only lacking I saw was the elevators were a bit tattered. All staff was extremely friendly and attentive to my needs. I must admit I heard a little hammering but I was during the day and i wasnt in my room much. There could not have been a better location. Since I didnt have a car I used the FREE Shuttle services and tthis hotel is located 1 block from both routes. Also it is so centrally located that I really could have walked to most places and did to some. I walked back from the Riverfront on the 4th of July and it only took 12 minutes. I also walked to Forsythe Park. Also, the sighseeing trolleys will pick you up at the door with a reservation. Dont be afraid! Its a great value for the money. I would highly recommend it.

Decided to come to Savannah for my 21st birthday. The hotel made the experience. It location is great, about a 10 minute walk to River Street which isnt bad at all and a couple blocks away from restaurants and pubs. I stayed 3 nights and didnt use my truck once because there are cabs always waiting out front in case you need them. (The only time I went somewhere outside of walking was to eat at Uncle Bubbas Oyster House....my favorite restaurant in Savannah and to visit fort pulaski, also a great place for the history person.) The rooms were very up to date, clean, and the beds were amazing. The staff was very helpful with local questions and accomodated us whenever we needed help, which even involved helping to get in a cab at 4 am) On the day of checkout, they even let us checkout at 2pm, instead of the normal 11 am time. Didnt get to eat at the in hotel restaurant but it looked really nice. With other hotels costing $300 per night, I think this hotel was definitely the best deal with its affordable price.(I paid 150 a night) On my next visit to Savannah, I will definitely be staying here again.

My wife and I were on vacation. Check-in at hotel was very quick, no waiting. We were met by very friendly staff who offered immediate assistance. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Although some areas of hotel are going through renovation, we were not disturbed at all, during our stay. Would definitely stay there again, as a matter of fact, we are looking forward to our next visit.

When we arrived the room that we requested was not available and we had to take an inferior room. The rooms had no sound proofing, you can hear every move and toliet flush from neighbor. The food from room service was delivered cold. The employees talked loudly on their cell phones when delivering statements at 5 a.m.

Very attractive interior. The restaurant chef should be fired.
