a child across the hall screamed all night long.....not the hotel's fault but it would be nice if they put families on a floor by themselves. Charged us for parking and did not tell us about it, but we got it taken off. The gym was not open and the dining room was closed except for breakfast.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. All non-essentials were extra, i.e. internet in the room etc. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean and the staffwas very professional and friendly.

Recap of my 5 nights..... First night air conditioning not up to par. By morning I was laying on top of all the sheets sweating. I called to have it fixed. The responded immediately but told me it would be easier to switch rooms. The front desk told me it would be hours till I could get another room. When I switched I left my GPS in the old room and by the time I got back to it the maid had obviously confiscated it. The hotel could have cared less. They promised security would follow up with me...they never did. They couldnt even change the name the room was under, even though I told them 4 times that my room was listed under the person who reserved the room. This in turn messed up the billing for the internet because it wouldnt let me bill to the room because of the name difference...every day I want internet it took a 20 min phone call to the provider. Even when I checked out they still didn't get the name right. To compensate me for my stolen GPS they credited me 20 of internet service haha are you kidding? Great TV but watch out when a commercial comes on....the volume is 3 times louder than the show...it almost makes watching the tv unbearable. Enough of these pretentious hotel chains give me a motel 6 anyday over this place!!

This hotel is in an excellent location. You are within walking distance to ALL things Charlotte...Bobcats Arena, Panther Stadium, The Epicenter, and the Covention Center. I was never too far away from anything. The room, itself, was extremely nice and well kept. No complaints at all. Nice adjoining gym at the Y, but the only thing I would ask there, would be a reduced fee for day passes. Beyond that, I had a great stay. Much thanks, Orbitz and the Charlotte Center.

From start to finish, a horrid experience. Arrived at 5:30PM, and were told the no rooms were clean and ours would not be ready until after 7PM!! Had to find a small bathroom in the Wachovia Center next door to CHANGE CLOTHES out of our bags to attend an event that started before we could get into the room. After returning, room was ready. We found our room and were stunned to see the actual room number to ours was typed on a paper and TAPED to the wall!! We PRE-PAID through online travel website for a Deluxe King CORNER room and were given a plain, cheaper King room. The 2 cup coffee maker did NOT work and even though the maids could not have a clean room for us the day before, they managed to try to get into our room twice at the crack of dawn. Don't do it! And, this is the last time I will pre-pay.

I took a little get away with my friends for a bacholorette party. I usually love Hilton hotels! The room was nice, and the staff was nice... but the room service food was not good! On Saturday it wasn?t that bad. My friend got soup and spinach/artichoke dip. Which was okay for room service. The dinner prices were reasonable. On Sunday morning we decided that we didn't want to venture out to try to find somewhere to eat, we just wanted to lay in bed and order room service! Well, everyone?s food was awful! I had possibly the most awful oatmeal I have ever tasted. My friends ordered omelets, which were okay, but they messed up the order, the toast/biscuits were cold, the potato were cold, and on top of all of that the prices for breakfast were CRAZY expensive! At least the staff was friendly and they had a cute two cup coffee makers in each room with yummy coffee.

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Perfect location and friendly staff. Some outside renovations took away from the charm, but will look great when finished. Only gripe was the bar closed earlier then listed, but bartender offered a 2 for 1 drink to make up for it.

This was the best place to stay to see the BobCats game. We could see the arena from our room and it was a very short walk. The room was very nice and clean. My 7 year old loved the plasma TV. For the price you can't beat it.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Hilton Charlotte Center City. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was great. The only complaint I have is that after the restaurant closes you have to go the front desk for a soda. I wanted a diet soda and was told they did not have diet soda. Maybe Hilton should have some on hand, some people are Diabetic. I know this sounds petty. Other than this incident, we had a great time at the Hilton.

Modern room. No bathrobe. This was a great hotel. The room was very modern and well equipped for computers. Theonly drawback was no bathrobe so one had to get dressed for room service.

We stayed three nights for a convention (the NAB Radio Show). From a convenience standpoint, the hotel's great...just two minutes from the hotel to the entrance of the convention center. For a four star hotel, however, I wasn't impressed. No water fountains anywhere to be found..I had to fill up out of a funky tap in the room, and also had to get water from the restuarant (the waitress took pity on me and gave me two bottles of "imported" water, bless her heart). Cellphone coverage (I'm on Verizon) was terrible in the room...lots of dropouts. Be aware that, while they do have WiFi, they also charge a one time fee of * and don't tell you until it shows up on your bill. I complained about it, and they took it off. They have a nice, LG HDTV in our room, and it would have been nice if it had any HD content. Television looked just horrible on this beautiful set. One final thing...we asked for either king or queen size bed (since my wife and I were traveling together). All they could give us was a pair of doubles (they said becuase we booked through Travel agent). Needless to say, sleeping two in a double is not the way to get a good night's sleep. Neither of us slept well at all the entire trip. I can't really blame it on the hotel, but just be careful how you book and what you ask for. All in all, it's a nice enough hotel, but I don't think it deserves the 4 stars and probably is more expensive than it should be. I should have stayed at a nearby hotel...less money, not quite so convenient, and probably more a better value for the money.

Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel is in a great location in downtown Charlotte. The staff was very helpful and friendly in navigating us around town. We loved our room. My husband especially enjoyed the flat screen television! The room was very clean and comfortable. We were in Charlotte for a wedding and the bathroom accomodated us so we weren't crowded trying to get ready.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, with comfy beds and a terrific shower! The location was perfect for walking to just about anywhere in Center City. The only drawback was all the cigarette butts outside on the plaza. The smokers need an ashtray and the hotel staff needs to be more vigilant about cleaning the area.

Super friendly staff, excellent location, nice building and lobby, great shower. The room/bathroom was a bit smaller than expected. Decor in the hallways looked loud/cheap compared to other Hilton's. I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Charlotte Center City. The staff was very friendly and super helpful in providing dining tips and directions for first-time visitors. The lobby, restaurant, and other public areas looked very elegant. But the loud purple/yellow decor and thin curtains in the hotel's hallways seemed kind of cheap in comparison to the lobby and other Hilton's I've stayed in before. The room and bathroom were on the small side but they were tastefully decorated. The brand new shower and fixtures in the bathroom and the huge flat screen TV in the room were a nice touch.

Amazing hotel. I loved this hotel! This was my third time staying here and the room was booked through Priceline previously.
