Very compact and clean - not luxurious but ok. No air conditioning in our room, no vending or ice machines, very tiny room. The room, although small was clean and adequate. The amenities outside the room were nil. The restaurant food and service were poor and very overpriced. The bar service, although expensive, was very good and friendly. Thank goodness for the good bar service as that is where we had to get all ice and beverages because there were no vending or ice machines.

Catching on that European hotel rooms are tiny by US standards, I booked a deluxe/family room at this hotel. The room was HUGE. The beds were very comfortable with a couch, big TV, nice chair, and good work desk. We had a view of the river which was very pretty. The hotel is in a great location with a large grocery store and indoor mall a few steps from the hotel door.The service was wonderful - arrived soaked from the rain VERY early and they had our room ready at no extra cost.Stay here! Bring a large umbrella!

The front desk staff was pleasant, professional and efficient. Massive confusion over payment for room and whether breakfast was included. The hotel is centrally located. Its public areas and guest rooms are clean and well-maintained though bathroom fixtures a bit worn-looking. Our rooms (2) looked out on a moss-covered roof that was home to many seagulls whose communications went on all night, very noisy. When we checked in we were told the times that breakfast was served. We asked if it was included with our room; the answer was yes. We checked again later that night when reconfirming breakfast times; yes it was included. The second morning the restaurant hostess checked a list and said our breakfast was not included. She went and checked with the desk, then said it was. When we checked out we were charged for hotel rooms (despite pre-paying) and for breakfasts. We are still trying to clear this up with the hotel, which has not answered emails sent to it.

excellent location - right there in the city centre, lovely breakfast but the first room we had had poor lighting, the main light didnt work, so we wre changed to another room and it was fine.

The location was superb with the dining room overlooking the river and the city centre just outside the door. The pool had been removed. This hotel was a very good choice as it was only steps from the shops, the Roman Baths, the Health Spa, the cathedral and the city centre. The expansive windows of the dining room overlooked the river which was beautiful. Choices for the breakfast were varied and delicious. The room was a bit small, but clean.

Loved the flat screen TV, the bathtub and the overall cleanliness. There is nothing I did not like. This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and classy. I would stay here again.
