Curtains kept the sun out. The buffet was overpriced! I will neverstay at this hotel again.

I stayed there 4 nights in July 08. I prepaid through online travel website. After checked out, I was surprised to find they charged my stay for the second time. Took many calls to sort out. Then waited another month to got refund. If you stay there, take a proof read of your bill. There is no other Hilton like this.

The valet option was a plus. Everything else sub standard. The pool was missing tiles, too small and children didn't like it. The overall stay with our children was inadequate. They decided that it was not a hotel for us and asked to not return. They did not like the pool nor the extremely small size of the bathroom in room. The window was a bottom latch swing out and opened more than 10 inches and I felt it was a serious hazard to small children as it was low to the floor as well. In-room movie viewing created a high pitched noise on the TV that we had to change to public or free channels.

I booked two connecting rooms using my points for a 7 day visit, 3 months prior to our arrival. We arrived at 6PM (not late in Alaska) and they didn't have connecting rooms, just a lot of excuses. The third room we were shown, we kept, and my teens were in the room next to us. The following day we were relocated to a better/appropriate location, nicer view (harbor, but trains made noise all night). We were told it was an upgraded room, but seemed standard by my scale. Rooms and baths were clean, but while in the bathroom couldn't shut door if sitting on toilet. POOL AND GYM WERE NOT AVAILABLE (They were doing renovations during high season!) ROOFTOP RESTAURANT WAS OUT OF BUSINESS. Regular restaurants (2) were normal, overpriced ones. Had to pay for WiFi. Help was generally friendly. It just is not a Category 5 property. Maybe a 3. Location was convenient for walking to fine dining and the train.

Room was small and cramped. The room was small an cramped. Windows showed signs of condensation which will lead to mold. The television was not in front of the bed but to the side and looked like it was purchased in 1996 with bad reception. Internet was not free.

I went to Anchorage on business, thought a downtown Hilton would be nice. Turns out the hotel is an awful place in need of major updates. There was large amounts of mold in the bathroom, drapes didn't work, and the whole place smelled of smoke even though it is a non smoking floor. Parking is very expensive $14 a day, no continental breakfast, and the restaurants in the hotel are very expensive. Would not stay again! The odors were awful!

Quiet, and made the best salads and fries! The curtains froze to the window and we wanted to close them but couldn't. There was no hallway noise or outside noise to wake or bother. It was clean with a very calm atmosphere. And the dining food was soooo yummy. I will stay at the Hilton just for the food. We will definitely return.

This was our family of 4's first view of Alaska prior to heading north in a rented RV. The staff was very friendly, and our room was standard-fare but on club level which meant snacks and breakfast were part of the experience. Location is great - right on the edge of downtown Anchorage close to the tourist kiosks. Seems to be a spot where cruise ships overnight their guests, but we didn't mind the groups in the lobby.

Down comforter. Street noise. Room is just large enough for a king size bed, TV and table. There is no free local phone service or any free internet access. The room was directly over 2 bars that carried on all night.

"We booked a non-smoking club level deluxe room. We arrived in the room to find that the beds had not been made. We asked for another room, and as we entered it we were assaulted with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. We were then moved to the last available room, which was not club level nor was it deluxe, in fact the doors to the closet has been ripped from thier hinges and had not been replaced. If you are a tourist, headed for Anchorage..steer very clear of the Hilton. "

Well located for my meeting. Extremely noise room - internal not external noise. Really like the Anchorage Hilton but there were several disturbances that resulted in a less than pleasant night's sleep. In my particular room there was a high pitched squeal (from the water pipes?) on and off every couple of minutes which never abated. There was also a thumping which I finally concluded might have been the elevator whenever it ran? Then there were the guests on the floor above me who sounded like a herd of elephants at 1:00 a.m. and finally went down for the night at 2:00 a.m. Certainly made for a memorable night but wouldn't make me excited to stay at the Hilton again.

I stayed here for a convention. We were asked many times by the staff to keep the noise down when we were walking down the hallwy just laughing our talking. When we checked in the computer system wasn't working and they couldn't issue all our keys and on the last day our keys didn't even work!

The willingness of management to offer affordable prices. N/A. I have stayed at the Hilton Anchorage many times but have not recently because of the cost.

"Rooms sort of small. When checking out, guy at front desk was a jerk. Bellhops were great."

Location is great. Parking is not adequate. Inconvenient. We use the Hilton whenever possible when we stay in Anchorage. Friendly, comfortable, great location. Familiar.

The front desk people were very nice. The pool and hot tub hours were very accommodating. Very nice view. The carpeting in our room was a little stained and we would have liked a fridge. The Hilton Anchorage is a top rate hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are a decent size to accommodate an extra cot. I appreciated not being charged for the cot. The pool was open long hours to accommodate early risers and late night sleepers. The beds were very comfortable.

Clean, professionally managed hotel. Each stay the same as the last. Not as convenient as it once was. Anchorage center has moved. Not the fault of hotel. Very pleasant hotel. The older tower was the premier hotel in Anchorage for years, and now the new tower takes it's place. Excellent, efficient staff, and clean, comfortable rooms are the norm.

The room was very clean and the temperature was perfect. The parking was across and down the street. A+. Number 1 in guest service and cleanliness. I had a wonderful stay.

Great workout room, pool and steam room. Rooms need upgrading, towel rack falling off wall, bad view. Stayed here with my family, husband and two kids 17 & 11, the beds were doubles instead of queens, comfortable though, the room needed a little tlc, paint scratches on walls, towel rack falling off wall in bathroom, the door adjoining room would not lock, luckily there was a nice old lady in the next room. Lobby and all was gorgeous, the rest of the hotel could use an upgrade.

They let my dog stay (for $25) and loaned us a wheelchair. Room service food was cold, pop machine gave wrong sodas, ice machine broken. Overall, the stay (which was to stay in the city after an out patient surgery) was fine, with the exception of the small details were noted above. Also, we got the room with the worst view in the house (overlooking boiler stacks and rooftop vents).
