Lobbby is nice. however everything else could use some updating. Nice flat screen in room, if it would have stayed on, kept turning itself off. STAY AWAY from rooms near elevators, somehow they ding when they pass the floors if they open or not...makes for a very long night!! i notified the desk of all problems and in 3 nights nobody ever rectified these problems. so at check out got FREE PARKING...gee thanks Hilton!!

Easy to get to from downtown. No free internet, small parking area and parking cost $10 bucks a day.

And I've stayed in Hiltons all over the world. (Hilton in Ankara, Turkey is extremely nice!) This one in San Antonio is horrible. The carpet was frayed, there were two holes in the ceiling and there weren't any outlets available in the room. The lamp cord kept falling out of the only outlet because it was worn out. The hair dryer didn't work so that slowed my wife down the next morning while we waited for a replacement. The sliding closet door wouldn't close because the ironing board hanger blocks it. Curtains wouldn't open more than a couple of inches because the track was broken. We needed a refrigerator so they provided one. It couldn't have been more beat up and they had to plug it into the base of the desk lamp. The desk lamp then wouldn't work. These problems made for a very dark stay! Advertised CD player in the exercise room but there isn't one. The TVs in the treadmills are nice however. The toilet wasn't tight to the floor and rocks badly when you sit down and bangs the wall when you get up! The hotel doesn't have free parking; $10 a day just to park seems ridiculous to me. Why not add it to the room if you really want to gouge your customers that badly? There was NO MENTION of this anywhere until we checked in! Next time, I'll try La Quinta for less than half the money and cleaner, nicer rooms.

The hotel itself might have been ok, but is located on VERY busy highways that you cannot cross anywhere as pedestrian and in the midst of heavy construction. Rooms were varied. Mine had a king sized bed; nice vanity in bathroom but it was full with the coffeemaker and all the bathroom amenities. My traveling companion had the smallest full size bed I had ever seen (no more kings available) and a huge bathroom -- with no vanity of any kind, just a pedestal sink so there wasn't even anywhere to put any of your bathroom supplies. We were there for business and had meetings each day at the hotel. The room was VERY COLD and even after repeated requests daily, it never got better. I had to purchase a heavy sweatshirt-type jacket just to be able to sit in the room for 8 hours a day and was still cold. The front desk staff was not courteous and the dining room staff was the worst. After our first evening and lunch at hotel, our entire group would walk (not many choices within walking distance) or taxi just for meals. Also, please post that when arriving from airport, you have to call the hotel for the shuttle. We didn't realize this until we had waiting over 30 minutes, seeing every other hotel shuttle pass by several times and even then -- it took them another 30 minutes to arrive due to the traffic congestion and construction.

First of all this was my first time at the Hilton..Upon arrival at 1130a.m i was given a hard time.. i was told that room couldnt be ready until 4pm.And because i bookedthrough orbitz and not directly through hilton. I had 2 get what was available at the time. Even though i requested a king size bed during reservation. The room was nice the first night i had to get a handicapp room and was promise a didnt room the next day and they did by giving me a king size bed. The bar and staff was very nice and helpful.

Atmosphere, employees very helpful, location and rooms everything was perfect The hotel was more than expected. My husband and I have traveled all around the world for years and this hotel and staff rated in the top 5 of all of the places that we have lodged.

The room was nice and adequate. Check in process is not well. Staffs were talking among themselves on personal matter. Guess/guesses was not tended to properly, or even an acknowledgement . Not economical by any mean, internet service was not free, but at a cost of almost */day where as the hotel 2 blocks away provided it for free to their guess and the room is at a lower cost. No other services were used during my stay. Thank you

when we stayed in the hotel, there were a lot of senior high school students living near our room. They were very noisy so that we complained at the front desk asking to change the room, but the staff told us there wasn't room available at that night. Although they promised they would contact the director of the senior high school, we still couldn't have a good sleep. Besides, there were several mosquitoes in our room. Therefore, it's not a good experience in Hilton.

The pool was sparkling, so close to the mall :). I would definitely recommend it to anybody. We go and stay here every year to watch the SAN ANTONIO SPURS!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has a beautiful lobby. The mini golf course was fun then again so was the fitness center. However bring your own water in there. The dining room and sports bar had pool tables and the food was great. Lots of sports memorabilla and pictures some autographed.

Clean, quiet, and nice public spaces. Parking, internet cost extra. The Hilton San Antonio is clean and has nice public areas, probably a good spot for vacation travelers. It is less appealing for the business traveler. While close to the airport, its location complicates navigating there. And the extra charges for parking and internet seriously detract from the value. Other hotels nearby are equally nice, and have better amenities for less.

The only complaint was the traffic due to construction. Otherwise wonderful hotel, REALLY comfortable beds, room was clean, staff was friendly, great location. Will definately stay again!

"Get service beginning with the airport shuttle pick up, the front desk staff, housekeeping and the bell hop. Great stay and service until Sunday AM after the big rush our party of 4 did not receive the stellar service it recieved the previous 3 days. There was a constant huddle around the hostess desk. The service did improve once the manager came on duty as we were departing. "
