I loved my room. I did not give it an extremely high rating because it was warm even with the air conditioning on 68F, my room service order was messed up twice, and the cleaning lady forgot to clean the whirlpool on the pation. I was giving her $100 pesos a day. Other than that, I loved it. All my activities were great and the hotel was perfect with the exception of those events. I had that room with the whirlpool on the balcony, it was amazing. Peaceful and relaxing was the them of this trip. If you have the opportunity go to Xel-Ha, amazing if you are a snorkeler or a fish like me. Also the catamarin with albatross company was so much fun. Try to ride with [...], they made my day and I didnt feel like i needed to be with someone there. Cancun at the Hilton is a single girls paradise.

The hotel staff were excellent. The hotel was spotless. Our only complaints and they were minor, no clocks in the common areas (pool, lobby, etc.), always offered bottled water (for a price) instead of tap water with ice. We drank the ater all week without any adverse affects. Again an excellent travel experience.

We just had a great 4 night stay at the Hilton. We stayed in one of the oceanfront villas which are well worth the extra money, especially with the free continental breakfast you get every morning as well as the free munchies and drinks served from 5:00-7:00 every night. The same breakfast offering is purchased by non-villa guests in the main restaurant for 55-60 (for 2 people). The food is good everywhere in the hotel but meals not too surprisingly are far cheaper off site. A bus will pick you up right in front of the hotel and will take you anywhere on the main strip for 6.5 pesos (roughly 65 cents) so getting around is a cost and time efficient breeze. Though a tad overpriced my wife did enjoy her facial at the Hilton spa. There are Aqua World reps right on site so scheduling anything water related is simple. The dinner cruise was extremely enjoyable and the Jungle Tour via waverunner to go snorkeling was a blast. The staff at both the Hilton and at Aqua World could not have been better trained and every single person was happy to be there and to assist folks who needed anything. All in all our first trip to Cancun was a winner and we will be back!!

We were in the Villas. The rooms were very nice and clean. We had issues with the bellhops on checkout. We had scheduled a pickup and they failed to meet their commitment. I thought it might be because of their being busy, but after we hauled our own luggage through the grounds to the bellhops, we found them all standing around doing nothing. Very disappointing. This left a very sour taste at the end of a great stay.

Great hOTEL, HUGE, CLEAN , FRIENDLY STAFF THAT BENDS OVER BACKWARDS TO ACCOMADATE THE TRAVELER/VACATIONER. GOUND BEAUTIFUL, POOS BEAUTIFLU. ONLY DISAPPOINT WAS LIMITED ACCESS TO OCEA, 4' SWATH OF BROKEN SHELLS, PAINFUL TO THE FEET, THEN AS YOU WALKED IN TO GET OVER THE SHELLS,, YOUI BANGED INTO SUBMERGED ROCKS, HITTING TOES, SHINS AND KNEES. GETTING OUT WAS JUST AS BAD EXCEPT THE WAVES KEPT PUSHING YOU TO GET OUT.jUST CAN'T ENOUGH ABOUT THE HOTEL AND ITS GREAT SERVICE

Cancun has suffered extensive beach erosion resulting from recent hurricanes. The beach at the Hilton and most of the other hotels (Marriott, LeMeridien, JW Marriott, Omni, Ritz Carlton and others) has huge exposed boulders and it is impossible/dangerous to swim in the ocean. If this is an important expectation for your vacation, you should choose another location. The Hilton does have a wonderful pool and grounds. Food and drinks are expensive, service is marginal and the rooms are starting to show signs of wear and tear.

On the water. 16.50/ 24 hours for the internet. The hotel was very nice for the price but I hated being nickeled & dimmed for the computer & paying to park. In future I think it would be better to pay more & have an all inclusive. Drinks & restaurant pricey.

Spend a long weekend in September with my wife. The hotel was incredible. The best feature about the hotel was the enormous pool. Room was clean and, I believe, all have ocean views. Staff was friendly and polite. Did not have to lift a finger. Pool staff was eager to serve you.Food and drinks can be expensive (everything is relative) but what else you expect from a resort? Due to the weather in previous seasons, beach was eroded and had exposed rocks/boulders.Overall the hotel is a great place to stay and great value for price. Take the bus to down town Cancun, shops, etc.

Very friendly staff, felt safe at all times. I stayed here with my 9 year old daughter and we enjoyed everything about the hotel. We ate at the restaurants, swam in the pools and did some activities. With all of the security issues lately in Mexico I felt very safe at this hotel as security guards were very visible all the time.

My previous experiences with beach-front hotels have been somewhat mediocre thanks to angular or obstructed views and unfriendly service; but I must confess that the Hilton did exceed my expectations in quality of service and amenities. The room itself was a tad bit on the simple side (decor, furnishings, and bathroom fixtures didn't match the artistry of the Bellagio or Venetian in Las Vegas) but my wife and I loved the ocean view from our 6th floor room. It was truly spectacular! The linked pools were nice and the private beach was nicer (but watch out for the underwater rocks). Don't waste your time and money on the meager Mayan ruins near the hotel property; for about the same price you can see Mayan ruins on a much grander scale at Tulum or Chichen Itza (2 or 3 hours away). The better restaurants and night clubs were at the other end of the hotel zone, but any local bus passing in front of the Hilton could get you there for less than a buck. Checking out from our room with a view was a sad affair. We will definitely consider revisiting the Hilton during our next Cancun trip.
