Hilton Garden Inn at Yakima stay was very comfortable for the following reasons: staff, cleaniness, room layout, adjoining rooms for my grandchildren and the personal ammenities (i.e. pool). My only recommendation would be to upgrade the dining facilities (i.e. Morton's Steak House, Ruth's Chris Steak House)

Friendly and helpful. Computer system went down for a while. Experienced a yacht club ball. Excellent room set-up and food and wait staff.

We stayed at the Hilton in Yakima,in March and was disapointed, We checked in and found our TV. not working, we told the front desk ,and we said we would be out of our room for about 5 hours so they could fix the TV while we were out,We got back at 10:30 pm and was in bed and there was a knock at the door somebody handed us a another remote and that remote did not work either. So I called the desk and the person workiing the desk said they did not know how to program the remote, so in order to change the channels we had to get up out of bed,a inconvience when you pay for a nice hotel. Also there were no fans in the bathrooms, I found the rooms small and the TV was not a LCD that newer hotels have these days. Will not stay at this hotel again.Restaurant had a a decent breckfast but pricey at 11.95 for breckfast.

This Hotel, from what I was told, used to be a shopping mall. If that's the case they did an excellent remodel job. The place looks brand new and all of the amenities were in great condition. I had a room with 2 queen sized beds (I didn't ask for this type of room, it was just what the clerk offered and I accepted), it had a small refridgerator (with nothing in it) a coffee maker, a really nice television with cable, an alarm clock THAT WORKED, and there was also a hair dryer, and I think an Iron but I didn't use the last two items. It would be tough to beat the location of this property, easy to get to off the interstate and situated in the heart of downtown Yakima and near great places to eat and drink. I didn't have time to shop but there are many shops along the main avenue within easy walking distance. The staff was nice and courteous and the breakfast was really good. For 6 or 7 bucks you get a dry food, fruit, and juice kind of buffet and an omlette made with your choice of ingedients (they also had an egg alternative of some kind too) and that was tasty, plus the coffee gal kept my cup full. My minor complaint was with the pillows, of all things. They were just too full and I felt like my head was at the wrong angle all night. A mate stayed in a different room and he thought the pillows were "#@!&% awesome." So there you go. But he did say that the heater/air conditioner was loud, but that didn't bother me. So there you go again. Probably as nice a place as you are going to find in Yakima.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Yakima was pleasant, clean and well-located for the area. The room was quiet and pleasant for the price point and location (size of town). It was within walking distance of several better restaurants. Good business amenities (connectivity etc...).

Parking was good. The floor was dirty not suitabe for children. This hotel I thought was going to be nice to stay in, but it was not indeed. My service when I walked in the door was not very satisfactory. The room was decent it had dirty floor that turned my white socks black. When my son would crawl around on the floor his knees on his pants were dirty. The chair in my room was dirty like they had just flipped the cushion. So I can say that I would never recommend this to any of my friend or family and that my stay was not very professional or satisfactory.

Chose to stay at Hilton Garden for an in-town vacation for Valentine's day. The site is a remodel of a closed shopping mall and we were curious how it turned out. Gorgeous, plush rooms. Attentive, friendly staff. Convenient location (walking distance to several restaurants and night spots). Work out room, pool and spa, underground parking. Over-all a great experience. Didn't try the in-hotel restaurant as it was expensive and had limited hours.

The rooms are adequate and nicely appointed and the beds are comfortable. The room had a comfortable chair for extra seating as well which was nice. The hotel is nice. The nicest hotel in Yakima! I have traveled there on business in the past and stayed at a few of the other hotels in town. The Hilton Garden Inn far surpasses them all in cleanliness, service, luxury and overall appeal. Great place to stay - however, it is a bit overpriced for the area.
