Very clean and in an great location. Very nice and clean hotel. Great location, nice room and it did smell like smoke though and we were not able to turn off the air conditioner so it kept going on and off all night long.

Although we had selected king rooms on a online travel website the hotel staff would not honor our request inspite of the printed online website's confirmation showing that selection. I think the staff is confused. Otherwise the hotel was ok.

We were given a room on the second floor and when I asked for one on a higher floor, the clerk said, "Oh you booked through Orbita, that's the room you were assigned. The adjustable sleep-system bed didn't work (This was the main reason we chose this hotel), and the TV system was new and being programed, so there were only a few stations. The bathroom grout was moldy. When we asked for a statement at checkout, we were told that we would have to get one from Orbitz. I would recommend this hotel with a strong caution to check the room first!

The convenient location to the various sights and attractions. The shower leaked a little. This was a nice hotel with great amenities and service. I will recommend it to others and I will stay there again.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hilton and were very pleased. The staff was friendly and attentive and the concierge was very helpful for our stay. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable, the bed very restful. Our bathtub plug was broken and I left a note for the staff to fix it while we were out and it was done. The area near the Inn is full of shopping and restuarants and about 15 minutes from the historic district. We would stay there again without any worries.

The rooms are of the nature that you don't mind spending long periods of time inside them. The hotels facilities has the same atsmosphere.

The hotel was clean with very comfortable beds. We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable. Savannah was beautiful and the hotel was very conveniently located. Me and my family will definitely stay here again.

Hotel sparked my interest when I heard it was brand new and close to downtown. As expected, it was new-feeling, nice smell, and was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've every stayed in. I could actually take off my socks and walk on the carpet. The bed was big and fluffy, covered in a poofy white comforter. Attractive headboard, flat screen tv, large desk with ergonomic highback swing chair. Bathroom attractive, with a powerful massage shower head and neutregena products. The shower/bath combo itself seemed a little narrowish, but the hotel cleverly added a stylish curved-out shower rod with pretty, half-buttoned down shower curtain. It was a great shower experience, very hot and strong. Room very quiet. Breakfast was fantastic. Not free, but for $11 it was a great value - eggs, fat sausage links, potoatoes, strawberries - everything. You make your own waffles, and although it's buffet-style it's assisted by staff. They were super nice in the kitchen. Negatives? I'd say that the front desk staff is standoffish and at times unhelpful. The concierge was helpful but can be easily annoyed. The space between the bed and tv was a bit narrow. We bumped into each other at times, but no big deal. The card key sometimes didn't work. Location? Hotel looks bright and impressive from Abercorn street, and although I was surprised at the immediate surrounding area - which is downscale from the quality of the hotel, the minute you turn downtown the neighborhood gets quaint with tree-lined streets. Publix plaza across the street. Area is safe. Also, hotel had no noisy kids and patrons were fine people.

Mother-daughter get-away to see historical sights, eat good food, relax and have fun. Loved the tours of the historical homes. The guide at the Andrew Low has was outstanding. Lots of laughs on the Old Savannah Trolley Ghost Tour and visiting the rum cellar at the Pirate House. Outstanding meal at the Old Pink House and dessert at Lulu's on Bay Street. The location of the hotel was great for the price and we drove back and forth to the historical district without getting lost. Enjoyed a musical show at the Savannah Theater and went to the beach on Tybee Island. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were roomy and clean. Good breakfast buffet. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Very clean and modern with excellent amenities. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. The central HV AC system was also very nice when one gets accustomed to the horrible window units that are often in hotels.

The hotel was fine. It was a bit overpriced and the staff was very uninviting and unfriendly although the concierge was very friendly and helpful. It rained the 6 days we were there and was very cold. It was the end of May so we thought it might be sunny but we were not able to enjoy much of anything due to the bad weather. We also went to Tybee Island for about 45 minutes and found that there is nothing there to do or see except the beach. We did find some very tasty places to eat such as Spanky's and Tony Roma's. I am not sure we are interested in visiting the area again.

No curtains! Everything was exceptional, but there were no curtains! The lights from the businesses next door came through the windows and was annoying!

Booked this hotel online via Orbitz (specifically because it was new, had a hot breakfast buffet & other sought after amenities). However, after a long day of work & a 5.5 hour drive, we arrived to the hotel only to be told there were no more rooms available. They had my name on an envelope and directed me to another hotel down the street. The letter enclosed informed the other hotel to direct bill them the charges. The Country Inn & Suites was NOT an equivalent alternative. The hotel was not as new & didn't have a "clean" feel (although we were told it was recently rennovated). I knew it was not suitable for me, nor did it meet my accomodation expectations when we drove up. But,being tired decided to go in to see a room. We waited at the front desk for several minutes, only for no one to show. We then went back to the Hiton Garden requesting a refund or to be book at the actual Hilton in town & was told there were no other rooms in town. Eventually, we were sent up the street to the Courtyard by Mariott. Accomodations were mediocre, but we had no choice but to stay there. Needless to say, our night was ruined. We barely found a decent place to eat that wasn't closed due to spending so much time trying to get a room. We ate at Chili's which was disappointing, because we could have eaten that at home. We were so looking forward to local cuisine.

Terrific staff! They were extremely helpful and friendly. Somewhat strong smoke smell in the room but it was a smoking room. Great staff, location was good, room (especially the bed) was very comfortable, very clean, good restaurant. Great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown is a newer, somewhat upscale hotel in suburban Savannah near a mall, chain restaurants and the like. It is not within walking distance of historic savannah. A concierge was available to co-ordinate tours etc. The hotel staff was not overly friendly to say the least. When we were given a smoking room in error, you'd think I was asking for the world to change rooms. The front desk even tried to convince me it was a nonsmoking room even though it reeked of smoke and there was an ashtray and matches provided on the bedside table. No apology was offered. We were able to switch rooms after waiting about 15min for a reply. The breakfast was not included in the room price and was rather pricey at $10.95 considering it was served on one side of the lobby where most hotels would set up a continental complimentary breakfast. Outdoor pool was ok, parking was limited.
