The hotel seems to have a policy of not immediately clearing reserved or non-expended credit card charges to cover any incidentals upon check out. I had to call back after reconciling expenses for the trip to find out that the reserved charge would be on my card up to seven (7) days AFTER I checked out of the hotel and had dealt with all expenses. The ACTUAL charges for incidentals were also billed on top of the reserved funds. ACTUAL charges were far less than the reserved amount.

to review hotels but this time I feel compelled. The hotel condition and cleanliness was above average for a city hotel but thats not why I'm writing the review. The staff and I mean all of them from the maid service, front desk bartender and cooks were the most helpful friendliest staff I've ever encountered. They continually went out of there way so many times to keep me and the other guest comfortable. When I return to New Orleans I will be staying at the HGI.

We stayed one night before our cruise to Mexico. Very close to the port. Walking distance to the casino, the mall and convention center.

This hotel was great for my business trip to New Orleans. It is in a good location to take a taxi to the attracitons of New Orleans. The room was very clean and comfortable and I found the staff very helpful. Parking is expensive, but that is true of pretty much everywhere, I think. I found the dining to be lacking, however. I suppose not many people choose to stay in the hotel to eat, as the food is famous in New Orleans. But, as a lone business traveler who needed an early breakfast (which was pricey) and was tired and just wanted to eat in at the end of the day, I wished that they would have had better options in the hotel. I do recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

My stay at this hotel was truly excellent. The staff were polite, friendly and eager to help. The hotel was well maintained and spotlessly clean. The room was large and comfortable. Always a perk to have internet access, an in room fridge and microwave at no additional cost. My only gripe was being charged $3 per day for the in room safe (Hilton, take note, this is not cool). I liked the quiet location. I was attending a business conference and not only was this hotel two blocks walk from the conference center, but I had better customer service than my colleagues who stayed at other hotels.

Nice, clean, and quite. Have to pay for parking, no restaurants anywhere. Nice and clean, quite, but I had to pay for parking overnight. We had to walk quite a ways to Canal street, and there weren't any restaurants for a long distance away.

Excellent service and very accommodating. We came down to run the CCC and had a hard time getting back to the hotel in time for check out. The staff was courteous, friendly, understanding, and allowed us time to shower before we had to check out. Everyone there was friendly, the valet service was wonderful and the rooms were clean and well stocked with towels, pillows, and amenities.

The Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center was a wonderful surprise. Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice hotel and had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Great value and a wonderfully kept hotel. It's a little off the beaten bath, but walking distance to many places. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone planning a trip to New Orleans.

Excellent location for those attending events at the convention center. Wireless internet service didn't work.

I chose this hotel for our Mardi Gras vacation due to it location - Its a short - moderate walk to either the French quarter or St. Charles Ave. I was very impressed with the service and the friendliness of the staff. We are from Louisiana and had moved to Las Vegas after the hurricane and it was so nice to be in the midst of true Southern ers who knew how to treat guests. The food in the cafe was perfect as well as the service and my room had an upscale appearance to it and the beds were amazing. I would definitely stay again.
