My wife and I choose this resort for our vacation to relax and enjoy the great Arizona weather and landscapes. We were not disappointed. At check-in we were given vague instructions on where to park and how far it was to our Casita. Thankfully a young man with one of the many golf carts saved us and got us to the suite. The entire staff was great and the service is excellent. Since the Casitas are remote from the main building, they run golf carts to shuttle you around. They are fast to respond when you call. The suite was very nice and clean. The cleaning staff was very accommodating about times. If we stayed late in the morning they would come in the afternoon or even later. The resort is very well kept. We did not play golf or tennis but the course looked good. My one complaint is the price of the food. We love room service but it is hard to swallow the prices plus 20% plus some other fee added, then tip the delivery person. In the restaurant the food was fair, but again they charge chefs prices for cooks food. The meats were generally overcooked. Also, a poolside drink cost about $8.50. I know most resorts charge these prices for meals but here the food does not justify the price. Since the resort is close to many restaurants you can overcome this problem by eating elsewhere. Despite the food I still give it four stars overall and recommend this resort to anyone. Great vacation.

Hotel service was friendly and courteous, very clean rooms. Massage rooms were not sound proof. Felt like I was in a mall! The El Conquistador was the perfect setting for my family. We went swimming every night and my boys went hiking on the mountains located behind the resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I was disappointed in was the massage rooms. The walls are not sound proof and while I was supposed to be relaxing I could hear others conversations. The massage itself was exquisite and very relaxing, very professional staff. I will book at this hotel from now on!

Husband and I went to attend a wedding and stayed the night. The room was nice and the pool and grounds were amazing. What we didn't know until 11 that night is that you can hear EVERYTHING on the whole floor. Slamming doors, drunken people coming in at 1, 2, 3 and 4 am, arguments were heard ALL night. Instead of a restfull night, I woke up with puffy swollen eyes and felt horrible! I travel a lot for work and have actually spend 42 days so far in hotels and have NEVER had a situation like this. Will not be going back. Advice: Hotel pool, grounds and amenities are awesome...but if you're going to go, invest in a casita and not a room.

My Husband and I always stay in Tucson for July 4th and our anniversary, this was our worst trip. We had never stayed at the Hilton and will not be returning. They did not plan the parking well, there were not enough pool seats and the hallways were very noisy. Also, the restaurants are not that great. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly, however it just seemed like a big waste of money. We had to leave because it was so over-crowded, people invited friends that weren't even guests of the hotel. It was so bad that we didn't even stay the second night that we had paid for. Now I know why this was the only decent hotel left in Tucson.

Stables, dining facilities. Some parts looked a little tired. Excellent experience - would recommend a little more attention to the upkeep details.

This was a family trip to enjoy the sunshine at spring break. We were very pleased with the location of this resort. There were hiking trails near by and the national parks were within an hour drive. The pools were fun and the tennis facility was well run and had classes for the kids to play in. We were disappointed that the exercise room was 10 per day and all we wanted was to use a stationary bike for 1/2 hour. Usually the exercise rooms are smaller but free to use. This one was a full club and seemed exessive in such a nice climate.Overall I'd recommend this resort.

Overall the room was very nice, good layout, nice decor. The only thing that was a bit odd was the $6.00 charge for the smart water that was avaliable. At the cost of the room it wouldn't hurt to throw in 2 free bottles. But that didn't ruin the trip. After a long day spent look around town and walking on the U of Az campus, this room was the best place to retire for the night.

Just refreshing and different. Very pretty hotel. Nothing is for free. At least water bottles should be offered for free and a refrigerator would have been handy. Overall, it is a very comfortable high scale hotel.

When we arrived, they put us in a regular room, even though we had reserved a villa. Their explanation was that too many of the villas were out for maintenance. Even though I had reserved the room for four people, we had to keep asking for more towels, not what I call four star service. We discovered the next day that their vaunted pool slide was out for maintenance also. Unfortunately, we didn't see any effort to repair it during our entire 5 night stay. Also, the children's day camp they advertise is only during the summer. Don't recommend the horseback rides, as they are up and down a steep grade. Also, internet service is not free. Basically, this is a three star hotel in a four star location.

We upgraded to a lovely Junior Suite. The pool was great, with an amazing view of the mountains. Slide a little dull. The hotel gave us buy one get 1/2 off coupons for all food and bev in the resort. Nice kids' menu and great breakfast buffet. Only downer was that around ten or eleven, we were woken by a few groiups of drunken revelers who sounded like they were right in the room with us we could hear them so loudly in the hall. Didn't last long though and we had an otherwise great night's sleep.

Mother's Day Brunch was beyond disrespectful. My parents and I were turned away - rudely for not having reservations instead of offering options. Never will return.

Service/accommodations to needs. Had to carry our own bags considerable distance uphill to the Casita. On a Sunday, and clearly the place was half-empty, when we were playing golf at their facility, they would not grant a late checkout without increased fees.

Rooms were clean and quiet. If I had one complaint, there were not enough drawers for two people.

Beautiful grounds, comfortable bed, picturesque surroundings. The water was turned off the morning we woke up, but problem was fixed within an hour or so. The hotel provides quiet and peaceful atmosphere with picturesque views and immaculate grounds. The room was comfortable with flat screen TV, king-size bed, and balcony overlooking the grounds.
