Casual but elegant. I wish the check in time was earlier in the day. Rooms are beautifully decorated.

This is a very old hotel. They have window type a/c and no security at the side doors to get into the hotel. You can not check into the hotel until 4:30pm and must be out at 11am. For such a short period of time, it is not worth the price. A resort, I think not, only the pool and fitness center was open. Stayed one night and that was enough. I would not stay again at this hotel. To many condo's at a cheaper price and the same service.

The entire staff is amazing, welcoming and friendly. The rooms and hallways do show a little bit thier age. But the pool, hot tub and beach area make up for it tenfold. On a whim we decided to check out the gulf side of Florida, now we will return every year - and we are definetely going to stay here.

To be honest, with staying at a Hilton Hotel, I expected so much more from it. We were to stay 3 nights at the hotel, but only after staying one night, we checked out and moved to another hotel. The room had an awful smell to it, coming from the bathroom, from the moment we stepped into the room and it never left. We were also placed at the very farthest end of the hotel, farthest away from the beach, when it was obvious the hotel was not full or booked. This was very disappointing! The beach itself was very small, with a lot of debris washed up from the ocean. There was also a problem with the air conditioning in the hotel. Maintenance was called, the problem was looked at, but not resolved. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone else. We ended up staying at another location, I found on my own, that I would highly recommend on Siesta Key, FL. Called "The Palm Bay Club". It was wonderful, so much more spacious for the price, closer to much more to do and see and the beach was amazing!! I highly recommend staying there instead!

I think I was punished for getting a travel agency room. Check in time was 4:30 and they made us wait until 4: 30 to check in. Even though the room was ready. The pain was chipped the wallpaper was peeling and it was an old room unit airconditioner. Not worth the money for the gulf front room.

It was a quiet place to relax which was our intention. Disappointed in the fitness room. The hotel certainly gave us what we were looking for relaxation. From the interior of the rooms, one could tell the hotel was not new. The morning buffet was good. Our biggest disappoint was the Fitness Room. That was the one thing my husband was looking for which is the main reason we selected the Hilton.

Although aging, this hotel is adequate. The staff here is what makes the stay!! After a glitch with the taxi at 6:30am- the employees developed a plan to get us to the airport in time for our flight. The security guard gave us a ride in his own car!! We made the flight with 1 minute to spare. Way above the call of duty on the staff's part. Excellent.

Beautiful landscaping. Lush, tropical grounds, on the beach. I had a very difficult time connecting to the Internet; never did. The chaise lounges were generally uncomfortable. It was a great vacation. It really suited our lifestyle. Nice rooms, friendly staff, great landscaping, grounds, pool & hot tub; a tropical resort. The restaurant had excellent food and outdoor dining. Great location on the beach and close enough to St. Armand's, other beaches and other local dining if you wanted to venture out.

The rooms are old and are in need of major renovations. Very overpriced. You're better off renting a condo.

I will say that the Hilton on Longboat Key is a very quaint place on the beach. You cant stay in many hotels on the beach in the area. Although it's not a typical Hilton hotel, they do it right. I stayed at this hotel while closing a real estate deal in Sarasota. I still enjoy going there to enjoy the deck dining. It's quaint and out of the hustle of town. If you are looking for upscale Hilton, you should try the Ritz Carlton instead... but this beachside hotel is by far the best around
