Recreation Information: The lake itself, which is 19 miles long and 8 miles at its widest point, supports an abundance of wildlife and is well known for its good fishing (bass being the principal sport fish). There are many recreational opportunities -- several businesses around the lake rent boating equipment and offer parasail rides, gliding is available only 30 minutes away in Middletown, and there are a number of first-rate golf courses within easy driving distance. For those who enjoy wine tasting, we recommend Lake County's highly acclaimed wineries -- in particular, Kendall-Jackson, Konocti, and Guenoc. Guenoc Winery was developed by the well known British actress and fin-de-siecle personality, Lillie Langtry, over 100 years ago. The area is generously endowed with state parks. The Mendocino National Forest at the north end of the Lake, and Anderson Marsh State Historic Park in Lower Lake, all offer a wide variety of hikes, bird watching and archaeological sites.

Nothing, except it was a place to sleep. The pool was not open, even though weather was warm. Room was dingy. Not worth the high price they charged. Room was dingy, dark and stale.

if they paid there employees better and remodeled the rooms it would help. the location is not the greatest but fishing is great.

Upon entering the room with my wife we discovered an odor reminiscent of old cream cheese and sweaty feet. Bottom line... this hotel is seedy, overpriced, and in a bad part of town. Oh, and people go through your belongings.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The pictures are misleading. This hotel is overpriced. We left one day early. This hotel needs a major remodel. It is also ""AAA approved"". It makes me question what a ""AAA approval"" really means."

"This hotel was overpriced for what you get. The photos are missleading. The rooms are small and the surrounding area is scary. When we booked our room, the owner told us there was no cancellation policy after he took our credit card number."
