BathBasho my god what a welcome we got at high beeches.alison ian and family made us at home from the word go.if you need to stay with a family they are the people . lovely food,great service. if you are going to bath your stay is with them.

Lovely old house with high ceilings, bathroom has saniflow toilet, is very clean and comfortable, with nice view from window. Excellent breakfast, short distance from Bath.

Fabulous weekendThe room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and there were thoughtful touches left in the room eg a bottle opener and 2 nice glasses, real milk in a flask. the owner even ran us down to the city in her car on the first day. Breakfast was fab and very relaxed. The whole weekend was blissful. We would recommend the Indian Eye restaurant in Bath and the Bizarre Bath tour

High Beeches, BathLovely, small welcoming hotel and Alison & Ian were most hospitable and helpful. Would recommend but have to say that it is 2.5 miles from town centre and without a 'satnav' was very difficult to find! This mostly down to the distance travelled as once we had clocked > 2 miles on the mileometer, we assumed that we had gone too far! Hence the distance does mean either a steep walk back (45 mins at a brisk pace) or paying for car park in Bath (expensive) or taking the public bus or taxi. Apart from the location, everything else satisfactory.

Ian & Ali were very accommodating and friendly. We were made very welcome in their home and didn'tr feel like we were intruding as you can in some guesthouses. We received some excellent advice on local pubs, resturants and walks etc.

We had a lovely weekend! We had an immaculately clean and very comfortable room. Ian and Ali were welcoming and generous hosts offering good advice on places to go, restaurants and even running us into the town centre. Breakfast was delicious. Cannot recommend a stay at High Beeches highly enough!

Had a super weekend at High Beeches, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and really friendly hosts. It is a nice walk into town with loads to see on the way. Highly recommended.

My wife and I booked this after reading the feedback of other guests, believe me it is as good as they say. High quality accomodation, very friendly hosts, good breakfasts. Ian recommended where to eat locally in the evening, booking tables for us, and we had excellent meals on both nights of our stay (extra little attentive touch, torches left near door if you are going out after dark). Walkable into city centre although bus return recommended as it all up hill. We would choose to stay again if we were ever to revisit Bath. (By the way a fine city to visit).

This had to be the friendliest B&B we've ever stayed in! What was lovely were the small thoughtful touches such as the bottle opener in the bedroom and torches by the front door which just helped to make the stay more relaxing and hassle-free. Ian is the perfect host and couldn't have been more welcoming; it is definately worth asking his advice on where to visit and places to eat! I would highly reccomend this place to anyone wanting amazing history, scenery and a friendly place to stay.

This would be a very difficult location to find in the dark. It was hard enough in daylight as even SATNAV just got us approximately there. Suggest signage in road be increased/enlarged. Parking at the rear was tricky but we coped with the aid of the very helpful host. If guests have to enter from the rear then some thought should be given to the access to the house which is currently through the utility room.Otherwise we had a wonderful stay and congratulate the hosts for level service which included chilling our champagne and serving it. The rooms are excellently equipped with lots of nice touches.

The personal, friendly service which is the hallmark of Ian Wright's B&B is quite remarkable. Lifts into town, friendly advice and offers of additional halp are evident on a daily basis. Wow!

After booking I then read the reviews. My wife asked me where I was staying to which I replied Heaven. Although this was a joke it turned out to be correct. This is a first class establishment I will try and stay again (providing they ahve a room available)

The owners were very friendly and helpful .Their information re things to do ,local pub meals and directions were excellent.the room was clean and bright the shower worked a treat without freezing or scalding !I fully understand the economics but two singles pushed together never make a double no matter how good the mattress or bed linen.Although not uncomfortably cold the room was not warm however therewas a second heater if neededThis was our first B&B experience so we have little to compare it with. We would certainly stay again and also recommend it to others.

We had a lovely stay at High Beeches. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast and convivial host. Very convenient for Bath, yet quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed a superb meal in a local pub - booked fro us by Ian on our arrival. We would recommend High Beeches unreservedly, and look forward to returning in the future.
