To locate the Kilkenny Hibernian Hotel from all directions proceed to the Kilkenny N10 Ring Road. Use the N10 Waterford Road Roundabout to the city centre. Proceed to Patrick Street upper. We are located on the left-hand side just before the traffic lights. The Ormonde Multi-storey car park is past the hotel on the right hand side.

Bad experienceRoom was supposed to be available from 1400. Arrived at 1415 no rooms ready!!!! Went for a walk for an hour in the pouring rain!!! Flush in the en-suite toilet did not work so we had to use the public toilet four floors down. For this we had an eight euro reduction (Thank you!)

Lovely Hotel right in the middle of town and the staff are lovely will stay there again soon.

We were slightly disappointed with the room we had as it was in the older part of the hotel and although it was clean and sufficient for our short stay, it was a bit noisier i.e. street noise as the windows were single-glazed. Other members of the group had a room in the refurbished part of the hotel, with double-glazing which was better. We stayed during the Easter holidays, which was a busy time, yet the service in the restaurant was excellent as was the food.

Our room was quite small and dark, it was overlooking one of the main streets and it was very noisey right up to 4am. we did not look for a change of room, for which I am sorry now, but I think they should have given us a choice of another room, seeing our age group, when we arrived. They were not fully booked on the night as they had a black-board advertising a variety of rooms available for 49 euro which was a lot less than we paid! We were attending a wedding the next day, so having had a sleepless night, we were extremely tired. we moved to another hotel for Sat & Sun night and found it 100% better and it was only 20 euro extra per night

Very central hotel, good gym and pool (though I didn't get around to using either!), lots of parking for guests, spacious rooms, lovely comfy beds, good shower... Highly recommended if you're in this area.

Lovely cosy winter hotel, near everything. cheerful, friendly and very helpful staff. Restaurant good but but up against competition in Kilkenny. Scrambled egg at breakfast very poor.
