great hotel ,heated outdoor pool ,lovely views of the lake ,excellent service ,free regular shuttles down the hill to town if you don't feel like walking

We had an excellent two-night stay at the Heritage in February 2009. Great service all round, especially when one of our party became unwell and we needed the room for a little longer. The free shuttle into the centre was a very welcome service too, made the whole trip hassle-free. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

It was the long overdue trip abroad to New Zealand with our stop off in Queenstown the highlight. The Heritage Hotel was a magnificent experience, with the staff winning us over from the moment we walked through the doors. I'm not one to generally write reviews, but on this occassion, I wanted to recommend the best place to stay in Queenstown.

An excellent experience. The room was comfortable and well appointed, with everything you could want. Restaurant was superb, although at the upper end of the price scale. Room service was fantastic, providing very good value.

Despite good location & some nice service features (free bus tickets to town), for an award winner it was disappointing. The 'Day Spa' was a hotel room with 2 massage beds in it, hence many services from local day spa service not available at hotel. The jaccuzzi had a grimy dirt ring around the waterline despite being drained and cleaned one day. The gym has limited equipment, much of it past its best. Apartment suites were poorly equipt and no staff, not even the duty manager, seemed to know what should have been in them. Best staff on reception. Hard to find a staff member in 'open all day' restaurant/bar during the afternoon. So not the top class place we expected.

we enjoyed our stay, but did not think it was such a flash place anymore then a few years ago. shower was not as good, toilet lid did not stand up, 2 beds were put together as a super king etc. because of the cheap specials, you see a big range of different people. breakfast was great!

Think it was a bit over priced. Lovely spacious room. Man concern was that they didnt check my partner for ID or anything when he asked for a room key late in the night. Nice place tho.

Highly recommend the villa's they are perfect for a group holiday as there are two bathrooms. Great location only minutes from central queenstown. House keeping came everyday and always replaced towels and bath robes when necessary. Also great if you wanted to make your own dinners as it was fully self contained, although we ate out every night as there wasn't enough time or energy after snowboarding all day. Two thumbs up, would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here on my own for a weekend in August. I really loved it. It is quite, away from the tourist part of town, views are mind blowing. Ate in the restaurant the two nights and it was excellent. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic and really warm! My first time away alone and felt bit wierd about it but the Heritage was the perfect place to start!
