The Heritage Hotel Bruges was built as a private residence in 1869, renovated and opened as a hotel in 1993. Its cellar is the original basement dating back to the 14th century, still showing its original stonework and masonry. The onsite health club and spa are located here. A comfortable hotel. Nicely decorated and very much as expected. Our room (23) was a little on the small size and there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room although they do offer to serve this in the morning for a reasonable charge. All staff were very nice indeed and could not have been more helpful and polite. Situation of the hotel is great as only a stone throw from the market square.

I thought the hotel was great, but because it was so expensive, I expected it to be even greater. I felt I was being nickled and dimed....internet access was at a fee, breakfast was not included and was 19 eurs. You could rent a bike from the hotel but mine was unsafe as the brakes didn't work, and I explained that when I came back, and maybe a bit of language barrier, but I didn't get the feeling they would fix it. I thought my room a bit small (again only for the price!) as was my shower. No tub, which I usually enjoy. Still, staff was great and location remarkable. Bruges is so small, however, think if you stay anywhere there practically, you will be close to action.

The Hotel Heritage was a terrific place for us to stay when we visited the beautiful city of Bruges! The staff was very courteous and helpful and the Hermes toiletries and internet kiosk in the room was such a nice touch. Our room had a view of the Belfry tower, and the hotel is located so close to everything. I recommend the Hotel Heritage to everyone visiting Bruges.

We had an excellent weekend at the Hotel Heritage. We arrived early (9:50am) after following the faultless instructions provided by the hotel in order to drop off our bags and park our car in the underground hotel car park. To our pleasant surprise we found that the room was ready which was great. We also got upgraded to a top floor suite with a lovely view of the city. The room was spotlessly clean and cannot be faulted.Nothing was too much trouble for the front desk staff who gave us a useful map and ran through the main highlights of what to do and see. The map has two walks marked out on it. One covers the main attractions which is a must do but the other walk which takes you to the north-east/east of the city is a lovely walk too so both are highly recommended. They also booked us a table at our chosen restaurant.Brugge is a lovely city and the roads from Calais are really good quality. We were surprised how easy and quick it was to get there by taking our own car and using the Eurotunnel. My wife fell in love with Brugge, so no doubt we will go back one day!
