Transportation:

Direction to the HepworthFrom the M5Exeter take the A30 to Cornwall and Newquay.From the A30 follow signs for A392 to Newquay.On reaching Quintrell Downs go straight across the roundabout past Morrisons superstore and on to Trevemper Bridge roundabout. At Trevemper Bridge roundabout continue straight over (right hand fork of roundabout) staying on A392 toward Newquay.Pass the petrol station on the right and at the next roundabout go right (Trevemper Road), after turning right a boating lake will be on your left hand side. At the next pair or mini roundabouts go straight over and pass under the viaduct (the entrance to Newquay Zoo and Waterworld will be on your right after the viaduct). Continue on along this road until you reach the next mimi roundabout.Upon reaching this mini roundabout take the left on to Edgcumbe Avenue, continue along this road slowely going over the speed bumps and on the corner of your first right hand road (Elliot Gardens) is the Hepworth .Just after this right turning staying on Edgcumbe Avenue is the car park to the Hepworth .Pull in, park up and enjoy your holiday with us at the Hepworth in Cornwall. :)

Recommended accomodation for your visit to Newquay, or base whilst touring CornwallOn our first visit to Cornwall, we hoped for somewhere where we would be comfortable. Somewhere where we would feel welcome, and not as a visitor. We found the right place! Ron and Carol, (or was it Pat?!), could not do enough for you. They gave us ideas of where to go/eat, and reviews of places to visit. They were the perfect host and hostess, often sitting with their guests in the lounge having a blether at the end of the day. We met guests who considered the Hepworth as a second home, telling us of Ron's generosity in offering lifts to the airport etc. My wife and I would both recommend the Hepworth, to anyone going to Newquay. Knowing that Ron and Carol will read this, can we both say thank you for a great week -- Jim and Therese

Short break in CornwallWe arrived in Newquay and referred to the instructions which were very precise and found the hotel without difficulty whilst I was struggling to get our cases out Ron swiftly came across to help, Carole helped my wife with the grips etc., and as we are both 70 the help was much appreciated Ron took me through all the things I needed to know including the workings of the massage mattresses on our beds,breakfasts offered plenty of choice and endless coffee we noticed that were a number of American touches(the good ones) that we had come across in the States, Ron has a number of refurbishments he wants to do, when they are complete and with his and Carole's really helpful personalities this is a really pleasant place to stay.

Would love to go backCarol and Ron were lovely hosts. We had heard great things about their breakfast and we weren't disappointed. It was a 2 min walk to Tolcarne beach (my favourite) and about a 15 min walk to Fistral beach. It was probably one of the best locations to stay, as it was close to the centre of town. Everything was in walking distance. The decor is a bit dated but you didn't care because it was clean. They have a bar and lounge to relax in (they also have a Wii console!) and also a small garden out the front with a barbeque. We went to Newquay to learn to surf and enjoy the atmosphere. We would definitely go back to Hepworth again :)

Hepworth June 2009We found the Hepworth to be in a great location for Newquay and Cornwall. There is a short walk to one of the beaches. The hotel was very clean and Ron and Carol were very welcoming. Ron cooked an excellent breakfast from a wide range of choices which were cooked fresh to order plus we had cereals and toast if we could manage it. We never went out on an empty stomach. There is a relaxing lounge with a TV and available, or, if you prefer, there is a tv with freeview in your room. The tea/coffee making facilities were replenished daily. We had a lovely time and felt well looked after. Thanks Carol and Ron.

A gem of a trip....Our whole experience of the Hepworth was wonderful, from the minute we arrived, when we were welcomed, and shown round, including our gorgeous 4 poster room, to the minute we left. The breakfast choice and quality was excellent, Ron and Carol were friendly, informative and a good laugh! Excellent location, right near to the action/beaches etc. Lovely garden where we could enjoy the evening sun, all facilities of the hotel are impeccibly kept and maintained. We will DEFINITELY be returning to the Hepworth, sometime soon!

Friendly b&b close to Newquay stationMade to feel very welcome at this b&b. Good brekfasts lots of choice. Room quite small but good sized bathroom and nice shower. Good facilities e.g lounge area and brekfast room for guests. Very nice garden area which we enjoyed sitting out in the sun and relaxing in. Just round the corner from the station and near a bus stop going into Eden project etc. Wifi worked on the iPod and they also had a computer guests could use for free which was handy.

Hepworth every penny :-)A big thank you to Pat and Ron who took well care of us and made sure our stay at the Hepworth B&B was as pleasant as possible. They help us out with directions and with any questions we had. The B&B is sitting on a fairly quiet street with easy access to the high street and the beach. Make sure to take the opportunity to have a chat to Pat and Ron in the cosy common room if you get a chance, they sure got some stories to tell you :-)Well recommended to both couples and singles!!!

Excellent Value and Well RecommendedWe would definitely recommend this B&B. Carol and Ron were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Needed an early breakfast which was absolutely no trouble. Choice of breakfast menu was great, all food cooked to order and of an excellent standard. Room was just a little small, but perfectly adequate. All in all excellent value.

A wonderful welcome and excellent accommodationThe Hepworth Hotel is located on the quieter side of Newquay, away from the surf party, but still close to all the town has to offer. The proprietors, Ron and Carol made us feel at home from our arrival to the day we had to leave. The Hepworth offers bed and breakfast with high quality rooms, better than most hotels we have stayed in, with a full range of freshly prepared breakfast options and always a friendly chat. Local knowledge helped us plan our days, and conversations in the bar or lounge when we returned home were often with a group of friendly guests. Newquay is a great place to learn to surf, or in our case to use as a base to discover Cornwall. With its local airport and good roads to all parts of this area you could not be better placed to experience every part of this picturesque and friendly county. We are very happy to have spent it based here at the Hepworth Hotel.

Pleasant supriseI wasn't sure what to expect but the hospitality of the host was beyond what i had imagined. Very friendly, relaxed and willing to help beyond what is necessary. Location is excellent as it is a five minute walk from main high street, train station and tolcrane beach. Food in the morning was good also. Only minor gripe was that the DVD player in the room was not working properly and a couple of occasions there was no hot water. My girlfriend was not happy about that. There was a reason for this but i will suggest this is looked into in the future as another guest may not have the patience we had. Other than that, I loved it.

What a friendly place to stay! I was made to feel really welcome from the moment I walked in the door even though I was only there for a short time. The breakfasts were great, with loads of choice and service was always with a smile. I didn't make much use of the lounge but it looked really comfortable and I definitely intend to use it when I stay again - hopefully for longer next time. Definitely one of the best b&bs i've used in terms of both situation, facilities and friendliness (even though the single room was quite small it had everything in it I needed!)

Friendly, value for money accommodation with a central location. We had a very pleasant stay at the Hepworth. Friendly service, Ron and Carol made us feel very welcome. Convenient location, in easy walking distance of Newquay town and the beach. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of choice on breakfast menu, food was tasty and cooked fresh to order. Would recommend to couples looking to get away for a few days for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hepworth Hotel, Carol & Ron were very friendly and accommodating. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience. The choice of breakfast was brilliant - even though we stuck to a full fry up everyday. A perfect hotel & location for us on our visit to Newquay. We hope to visit Hepworth again in the future!

Fantastic stay!The Hotel is a stones throw away from one of newquays finest beaches. The owners.are.a lovely couple who make you feel welcome. The room was clean and tea and coffee facilities were available. Freeview tv was an excellent addition too. We had a massive choice of breakfast, 9 in total. What a great stay! We shall go back soon.

A Great Guest House!We were made to feel very welcome by Ron and Carol. The Guest House was clean and comfortable and had great facilities (including tea and coffee making and beds with massage settings).The breakfast was excellent (strongly recommend the pancakes!!). Ron and Carol were extremely accomodating, helpful and assisted us with their local knowledge. If we are in the area again, or know friends visiting Newquay, we would certainly recommend the Hepworth.
