Alot of construction is currently underway and thus the noise is non-stop and it's nearly impossible to walk anywhere in the near vacinity.

The hotel is easily accessible by public transport and not too far from the amenities. The rooms are fine but bathroom is rather small. Pricing is average based on the overall aspect of the hotel. Service staff is good and professional and they allow very early check-in once the rooms are available without extra charge.

Location is away from city and perhaps a 10mins taxi ride costing abt 14RMB, not too bad. Food is readily available at the vicinity. Room was clean and neat upon arrival and room service staff were efficient. Overall it was a pleasant stay for the kind of pricing. Don't be deterred by the location, try to explore as city centre should not be the reason why you should be in Shanghai.

This hotel was very nice for the price. I?d definitely stay there again. Location is good, close to the bund but not really close to the subway and not that easy to get to pudong even though u can see it across the river from the hotel. The tunnels to pudong require you to go backtrack a bit. Otherwise it was a great hotel for the price with clean rooms, nice comfortable beds and fairly new furnishings.

We booked a deluxe bund-view room with a king bed, but were given a regular bund-view room with two double beds. I called the front desk and was told the type of room we booked was all full. The girl said she could move us to another room tomorrow. I refused her offer and demanded an upgrade right away. 2 minutes later, she called and moved us to the executive floor, where we stayed for the entire 5 nights. (I speak fluent Chinese, which probably helped a lot.) Other than that incident, we were very satisfied with the room and the staff. The hotel is located in a not-so-pleasant neighborhood, but near many city attractions.

About a 15-20 min walk from the Bund but with Taxi’s as cheap as they are in Shanghai this is a good location. Easy access and a short walk to the Nanjing Road. The bund view rooms have a few buildings in the way but I found this hotel provided the best value compared to others in the area. Breakfast had a ok mix of eastern and western food. As long as you don’t mind to walk a bit or take a short taxi ride I would recommend staying here.

Overall I was very pleased with this hotel. I got a three day package at a great rate in a city where hotels are very expensive. I had all the standard ammenities and a pool. The location, although not attractive was close to everything and I had a fabulous view of the city from the 20th floor. The staff was pleasant, especially the concierge who gladly wrote the names of places I wanted to see in Chinese for cab drivers. I also enjoyed the pool which was open late, but the sauna and steam room were not open. Maybe because I was there in slow season (January). On the down side, the carpets need replacement and the food was awful, but everything I ate in China was awful. Hotel breakfasts are always overpriced. I booked the least expensive room, so it was tiny, but attractive. I would recommend upgrading to a larger room.Otherwise, I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was at a relatively good location, just north of the bund's zhongshan road. Very convenient for touring (and clubbing) this area, plus Nanjing road & Yuyuan garden. A bit of a farther drive to Huaihai Road, Xintiandi, and downtown. Really okay for a 4-star hotel. So dont compare it to 5-star hotel coz it sure is not. The breakfast buffet was a bit mediocre, but at the least good to fill your stomach for the morning. Has a rooftop bar good for some night photos. And oh, there's a Starbucks across the street.

Stay at least 3 times and find to be good for recommending. Really vaule for money but sometime quite disturbed by the massage parlour's staff standing beside the passenger elevator trying to get business. I liked most is the romantic roof top bar whereby you can have night view of the Shanghai City and Pearl Tower.Overall, worth staying...

Staff is rude and inconsiderate. I reserved a suite and they gave us a regular room. When I asked for a suite they moved us to a "suite" that was unfurnished in the living room area. The concierge staff was not helpful or not knowledgeable about the area. They steered us in the wrong areas and direction two different times. The breakfast in this hotel was horrible, let me repeat horrible. The restaurant was dirty, let me repeat dirty. I would not recommend this hotel. Location was not that great either. This was the worst hotel of our 2 week trip to China.

Very helpful staff, who were not pushy. I was particularly impressed that I was allowed to check in at 8.30am.

the elevators are a mess, waited nearly 40 minutes one morning to have one stop on our floor. otherwise i feel the hotel exceeds quality compared to price. also the location is great

Overall I was very pleased. The staff however could be a bit more friendly, especially at the reception desk.

room was fine but staff inefficient and impolite. think this was due to lack of training.room service was served on paper plates with plastic cutlery - not acceptable.

We got a great buy and the hotel was very affordable and proved to be really good value for money. The location was a major plus as it was near to most city attractions via taxi. View from the Deluxe Bund view room was good too.
