ExcellentGreat service, lovely independent hotel, and the food was very very good (although more vegetarian options at breakfast would be welcome).

A comfortable small hotel with friendly staff and good atmosphere

The staff was hard working and polite. The rooms were well equipped and spotlessly clean; though not posh, more homey. The food was delightfully very good, especially for a smaller facility. I will stay here the next time I am in the area. The only problem was with the payment terminal for credit cards not working when we checked out.

This place was a little gem. Real fires, friendly personal service, just what you need when you're own you own.Being left alone by the fire, reading my book, over a coffee - the perfect end to a fraught day.

nice building, we had a big spacious room above the converted barn. Thin walls was the only side. Nice friendly breakfast served by attentive staff.

Dont take any notice of the pictures, very cleverly taken, limited parking, in densly populated area, some rooms in out building.

The food was worst i have had in a hotel for a long time, the waiter when i complained said \"never mind\" not what I would expect. The room was poor which needs refurbishment, carpet was stained.I was checked in by the chef.

We didn't use any facilities bar our room so can't really comment. The blurb promised us a romantic garden view and a luxury en-suite bathroom. We got a view of the car park and an old dingy bathroom that really needed a clean - they even left us a dead ear wig for our arrival in the shower! On the plus side we got extra tea bags and milk very easily on request.

The hotel restaurant food was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and even when a taxi company let us down, the desk clerk took us to our destination in his own car. Top man!The rooms were clean and comfortable with all modern things you would expect in a hotel room.

I was a bit worried about this hotel having read the reviews after I had made the booking but needn't have been! Hotel was fine, would be very happy to stay again. Room slightly old fashioned but we were only staying there one night not reading \"House & Garden\". The import thing is it was clean. I requested a quiet room - and got one!

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was comfortable. My only slight disappointment was our room was ground floor, so it did not have a nice view and was a little dark. Excellent value for the area though

Easy to find and a lot cheaper than other hotels in the area. Car park is small. staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the annexe, which seemed to be converted stables - v nice, except the people above us walked round most of the night - no crying baby - and the building amplified the sound so t we both woke many, many times through the night.

I'm glad it only cost £60 for the night I don't feel it is worth £110 as advertised. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff.

Our stay was for 1 night bed and breakfast (2 adults and baby in cot). The staff were very helpful on arrival and showed us to our room. A cot had been provided and made up ready for us as requested.Arrived late so requested room service for a small snack at 11pm. The room guide stated room service \"available at all times\". However, when we rang it seemed to be inconvenient as they said we'll see what we can do but the staff are just going home! No prices were stated for food in the room, and when we got the bill we found we had been charged £11.90 for a round of sandwiches! The room was clean and spacious enough and the bed comfortable. Sound insulation was poor so traffic noise due to the adjacent roundabout was quite bad. The bathroom was particularly in need of redecoration though. Breakfast was ok but service could have been better. The short stay ended up costing nearly £100 (incl the midnight snack), and we left not very impressed at all.
