The Heartland World Heritage Hotel is located at Haast Junction, 4km north of the Haast Township at the bottom of South Westland.

The Heartland World Heritage Hotel is close to Haast township, rugged beaches, wild rain forest walks, jet boating on the Haast River, fishing and hunting activities.

The Frontier Cafe & Bar offers a cafe style lunch during the day and a la carte dining in the evening in a public bar atmosphere with a roaring fireplace to make any traveller feel cozy.

Start the day with buffet breakfast in The Waitoto Room (also open seasonally for dinner) open from 6am, call in to the Frontier Café & Bar for lunch and a la carte evening dining open from 11am till later for a meal or a few drinks and game of pool. The Arawata Bar is open seasonally in conjunction with The Waitoto Room which offers a cozy escape to while away the evening.

What transport is available to get around?: There is no public transport in Haast.
Do you have internet?: We do not have internet access in the rooms, but it is available at the reception and the cafe bar. The rate is as follows: 20 minutes for $2.00, 60 minutes for $6.00, and 120 minutes for $10.00.
Do you provide parking?: The hotel has parking facilities for all guests.
How do I get there?: If you are driving from Wanaka/Queenstown, you would drive three kilometres past the Haast Township along SH6 and turn left at the Haast Junction. Then from the Glaciers, you would cross the Haast River, continue along SH6 for about 500 metres, then turn right at the Haast Junction. Our hotel is the only one at Haast Junction.
