Nothing fancy, but the breakfast was good
Date of Stay:

The breakfast was tasty though lacking fruit and the pillow top beds were comfortable. The military room decor, the spiders in the room, no HBO and the crooked toilet. The pillow top beds made for a comfortable stay, however, the drunk men in the dining room, the military wall decor, the spiders in the room and the off balance toilet were enough that I would not necessarily stay there again.

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Any place you get a hot breakfast included is good with me. My only concern was the outside doors at the side and back entrances were not locked so anyone could walk in. When we left the hotel to go to dinner it was early so I thought maybe they would be locked when we got back but they were not. We got back to the hotel around midnight. Otherwise I was satisfied.

Clean, comfortable, had a fridge, and decent breakfast in the morning. This hotel met expectations, nothing fancy, but a clean, comfortable room. I would stay there again.

Staff at this hotel is so friendly! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Has a great breakfast in the morning and free snacks at night!

The Heartland Inn west was a very clean and comfortable motel. The complimentary breakfast was better than average (they had biscuits and sausage gravy, not totally starches. Some fresh fruit would have been nice, but they did have juice. The room was fairly large. I didn't have the energy to check out the pool, after driving 450 miles--was just glad to find clean, comfortable beds. The towels were better than at many low-cost motels--fairly thick. The room was quiet. I definitely would stay there again. It might have been hard to find without my GPS, since McDonald Ave. does not intersect with Hwy 20, but rather is a short street parallel to Hwy 20.

The staff was wonderful, very nice and helpful the second you are in the front door. The only bad thing was that the shower ran a little on the cold side. Very nice hotel. Well maintained and VERY comfortable beds. We slept great. Our room was very homey and clean. Also the staff if friendly and helpful.

The rooms were large, but they had a funky smell. The furniture looked dirty. The bed was clean. No closet in room. The pool was very small and cloudy, didn't even use it. I would not stay here again.

The hotel was clean and the staff very courteous. The hotel was also convienently located. The only problem was that when a severe rain strom came in the area, the hotel staff allowed a number of people to move their motorcylces from the parking lot to under the covered entrance to the hotel lobby. This prevented people from using the covered area for its intended purpose, pick up and drop off people in the covered area.

Smoke free hotel. Mattress claims untrue. If they would get good mattresses this would not be a bad hotel. It is an older hotel, but nicely maintained. The mattresses are not as claimed and they gave us sore backs. Very crowded in the breakfast room in the morning - quality of the food not the greatest.
