The Hawthorn Suites-Richardson Telecom and Technology Center is located in the center of Richardson near Plano and North Dallas and George Bush Tollway and Highways 75 and 635.

The spacious one and two bedroom suites are ideal for a short or long term stay offering fully equipped kitchens, living areas with fireplaces and pullout sofas. All suites have free wireless and hardwire access. The one bedrooms have queen beds with living area and vanity bath area. The two bedrooms have additional king lofts with second bedrooms and vanity bath areas.

A complimentary full hot breakfast is served daily and a dinner Monday through Thursday evenings including cocktails.

Other amenities include--outdoor pool and whirlpool, business center, and free parking. There is a courtesy shuttle to use within a seven mile radius for business or pleasure.

The hotel was right where we needed it to be and was nicely furnished. Wireless internet didn't work, but there was wired internet, but of course that meant that only one person could be on line and had to be sitting at the desk. One of us slept on the hideaway bed but no linens were in the room and we had to wait to get them, though they did bring them to us. There was also a peanut in the folds of the mattress. Though, it's a couch too, so I can see how that could happen. There was a full bag of trash on the patio and the bathroom wasn't as clean as I'd like it to be. Overall we had a good stay, but if you're a clean freak, this may not be the place for you. There's a Jimmy Johns, a Chipotle and a couple of other restaurants that are in very easy walking distance. And there's lots of parking. It felt more like an apartment complex than a hotel, which was just fine with us. Full kitchen was nice to have too. I had a prepaid room through Orbitz, but it still took me almost 10 minutes to get checked in, which was a little frustrating. I travel to the area and would stay here again.

The carpet in the room needed steam cleaning. Rooms were nice except the carpets needed to be cleaned.

The staff was friendly... the place was really run down. Mold in the shower, bath . dirt in the corners. fraded carpeting. My husband left the room and went to get in the car and a cock roach was on his arm! I wore my shoes from the bed to the bathroom- creapy. They need to tell you this is a old folks place and I wouldn't send my worst enemy to the swimming pool- the water was gross.

Penthouse room has more than sufficient room to accomodate 2 adults and 3 children. That was our first priority. A queen bed plus a king bed in separate room plus a pull-out couch bed provided sufficient space. Two TVs plus two bathrooms also are a plus for family. Kitchen area with refrigerator was a plus. Having an included hot breakfast in pleasant surroundings was a second priority and a positive feature. Front desk personnel responded swiftly to our requests, too.

We live about an hour from Dallas and had to be at a sporting event at 8am. Rather than get up early we stayed the night in Dallas. Our hotel was more than we could have hoped for. In was a 2 bed king/queen suit. It felt more like an apt. then a hotel. While the high end traveler my be dis appointed the bussiness and family set will love it.

It was convenient. The rooms were spacious and neat. The free internet was great. This is not a luxury service hotel. It provides the basics as well as complimentary meals, but there isn't room service or on-site hotel.
