I HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL FOR 19 YEARS WE STAYED AUG 3 THR AUG 9 2009.WE COULD NOT GET ANY TOWELS UNLESS WE WALKED TO HOUSEKEEPING AND EXCHANGED !!!! NO MAID SERVICE NO CLEAN SHEETS NO VAVUUMONG OR MOPPING WE WERE CUSSED OUT BY SECURITY GUARD FOR NOT HAVING PARKING PASS DISPLAYED ON REARVIEW MIRROR..IT WAS IN THE CONSOLE UNTOL PARKED BECAUSE I HAVE CONVERTIBLE !!! RATS BY RESTRAUNT !!!!! CHARGED TO RE-ACTIVATE KEYS IT WAS OUR FAULT LEFT BY OUR Cell phone.ASKED FOR CORPORATE OFFICE # THEY TURNED OFF OUR PHONES !! MY SON IS INSULIN DEPENDANT DIABETIC .FEET FILTHY FROM FLOOR.. CORPORATE OFFICE WILL NOT RETURN MY CALL I INFORMED THEM THAT I PAID $400.00 FOR THIS STAY THEY REPLIED I DONT GIVE A S--T WHAT YOU PAID.. WE LEFT WENT TO HOTEL NEXT DOOR IT WAS GREAT LISA GIBSON ARLINGTON TEXAS WE WENT DEEP SEA FISHING NO CLEAN SHEETS FOR 3 DAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!AT HAWTHORNE

Took 9 young ladies, stayed in side by side rooms. Clean enough for a two night stay, needed a large refrigerator instead of a dorm size one. with one bathroom, it got crowded but worked for us. Was impressed with parking (a bus) and office check in and out went fast. Pools were nice. We are going back in June with 8 Seniors for a Sr. trip. They asked to stay at same location.

Across from the beach, separate bedroom. Breakfast was not good. Pretty clean, large suites, across from water, nice pools.

The pool area was fantastic. No one cleaned our room during our entire stay. Hawthorne Suites is a great place for families to stay. The rooms are small, but functional and quite adequate for what we needed. The kids were happy and loved the bunk beds. My oldest (seven) adored the pool and couldn't have been more thrilled with it. The drawbacks were not having our room cleaned at all during our stay and having to argue with maintenance for fresh towels. Other than that, it was exactly as we expected. Very fair for the price and a good place to stay with young children.

Only 3 floors. The elevator was junky. The hotel was clean and beautiful. Close to beach and easy to find things.

Heated swimming pool. Room was not as clean as I expected. The room was not as clean as I expected a hotel room to be. We did enjoy the heated pool as the weather was bad our first day there. I wouldn't book this hotel again but would recommend it to a group of young adults on vacation.

The children had fun in the pool. The room was not worth the price we paid for it. The room was a decent size for 2 adults and 4 kids, ages 1-9. However, the beds were uncomfortable. It was nice to have a door to a bedroom we could close so the older kids didn't have to go to sleep when the baby did. The hallways were extremely noisy due to the iron door you walk through to get to the actual door for every room. Everyone coming and going made a loud clanging noise all hours of the day and night. The free breakfast was only from 7-9 am, try getting 6 people out the door to eat before 9 am. The kids liked the pool because most of it wasn't too deep for them.

Swimming pool. Rooms too small/ needed more bathroom/ no linen for a couch bed. Location was good, but front desk person on night shift was rude and unprofessional. There was no linen on the couch bed and when we ask for some we were told housekeeper was closed. They had bugs.

The kid pool was great! The breakfast could be better. We enjoyed the hotel and the kid pool. The room was nice even though it was little outdated in products. They did work well though. The room could have been a little cleaner in some areas. The ac unit never really cooled down the room. It went out the second night and it reached 80 with all us in there. We got a $20 off the final bill. The breakfast was ok. The big bowls of ketchup and jelly did not look very good or food safe. We loved the kid pool and went several times. The main reason for the hotel itself. Did not have an area to clean off the beach sand. The employee we asked did not know.

It was convenient for water sports, beach, etc. Price was not a good deal; quality less than expected. In short, the hotel is great for a family, the rooms, however, vary in quality of furnishings. The first room we went to had some skanky carpet, and the front door didn't even shut good. We moved. Also, they should nix the hot breakfast, as this was not done with quality. Too many guests to fit into the small accommodations. With a condo-type environment where everyone can cook in their room, it's not necessary. We would go again, but we'll eat more in our room.

Although I did not travel with children, the hotel was very family oriented. I didn't need a dishwasher but did need an oven. I stayed at this hotel a few years back and did not remember it as family oriented. It now offers a full hot breakfast each morning which is terrific for those who get up and want to get on with their day.

On the seawall - great view. Too expensive for what you get. Too many people for the size of room for breakfast. Breakfast not good.
