Hawthorn Suites is always our first choice when we visit our son and his family in the area. It is clean and comfortable and the breakfast rates as one of the best of any hotel we've stayed in.
Date of Stay:
May, 2009
The hotel staff was excellent and very prompt with issues in the room.

The location was very close to I75. The traffic was somewhat distracting. The bed was uncomfortable. The staff is very friendly. The room was very clean.

Large room. TV too small for room. Poor lighting in parking lot. Solid for the appropriate star level. Room was spacious and quiet. Bed pretty comfortable, pillows could be better. Nice shower. Parking lot too dark.

Nice sized rooms! The landscaping really needs improvement! All-in-all, this is a nice hotel.

The location was great and the room was welcoming. Their was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the toilets had not been cleaned. Overall, the hotel expierience was pretty good. I also enjoyed the continental breakfast.

Large room with kitchen, very clean and comfortable! This hotel was very pleasant to stay at. It was easy to find off the highway and our room was incredible! Very spacious with full kitchen, hide-a-bed, fireplace and plenty of room to move around. Very clean and smoke free as well!

It was very cozy and clean and I loved the fireplace. Ihave no complaints. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel was a lot nicer than I had anticipated. I will definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to all of my friends.

Cobwebs in the corners. Sheets on pull out sofa left from last customer. Very dirty. I would not stay at this hotel. It is really run down. In need of a lot of repair. Cobwebs in the corners. Sheets left over on the pull out couch from the previous guests. Beds not comfortable. Would not stay here again

There was a nice breakfast buffet and the room was clean. The set-up of the room did not allow for you to watch TV from both sleeping areas. This was a nice, clean hotel. The location was a little tricky to find at first, but overall the hotel was very close to everything. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of items but the hot food needed to be hotter. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 9.

Clean and inexpensive. Heard people walking above us all night.

Free breakfast, courteous staff, and convenient location. Bed was uncomfortably hard andnoise. Privacy, staff, and amenities. But had I not acquired my own foam bed-topper, I would have had to move to another hotel - I found the bed that hard to sleep on.

Clean, convenience, safe, quiet, modern.

Because of power outages, there was no TV or Internet, so it only became a place to sleep. It was average. Relatively clean, but the place does need updating.

Clean. Nice. Didn't give me my wake up call. Three words epitomize this hotel: pleasant, quiet, convenient. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, this hotel is sure to meet your expectations. A good for a no-frills, hospitable home away from home.

The room was excellent, clean, and well equipped, there were no amenities, lotion, shampoo, etc. The broken lamp in the living room and no amenities in bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and furnishings. The party accompanying us kept awake most of Friday night by loud noises above them. They called the front desk and were told that there was no motel security, so they called the police.

Free breakfast buffet is nice. No ESPN. Unforgivable! I did have problems getting the Ethernet in my room to work. Thankfully, a service man was there to change out a faulty router. However, I don't understand no ESPN on the satellite. This needs to be upgraded ASAP.

It was set up like apartments/condos rather then a traditional hotel. The room included a kitchen, fireplace, dishwasher and more! Room only included 1 queen and 1 sofa pullout bed. Great location, safe area! The Dayton Mall (very nice) is directly across the street. Hotel included a wonderful, free breakfast each morning with many choices. We did not use it, but there was a nice outdoor pool for guests. The hotel looks like was once condos; therefore, each room is separate from the others (outside entrances) and each includes a fireplace, full kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area. The couch pulls out to another bed. This hotel is perfect for families with small children because it has a full size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher in the kitchen--no need to go out to eat each night. We will definitely return!

The room was very spacious and had a nice kitchen and work area. The bed was very comfortable. The TV was a little old. Overall a very nice place to stay for the business traveler.

The room we had was big and clean with a full kitchen. We ere not at the hotel long enough to enjoy the room. My son and I arrived about 10:30 PM and were greeted by friendly staff. The suite we had contained a complete kitchen with an eating area, large dressing/bath area, fireplace and a sofa bed. A good breakfast was included with the room along with free national and local papers. The room was clean and the shower had good pressure. If in the area I will not hesitate to stay there again.
