The Hawthorn Suites in Corpus Christi was better than expected. The room was very spacious. With the drapes open the room was bright and airy. Close the drapes and it was private and perfect for a great night's sleep. This may sound a bit odd but one thing I liked probably more than anything was the wonderful tasting coffee provided in the room. The aquarium in the lobby was awesome. I took quite a few pictures of it. The staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. I can only think of 2 things that weren't perfect but will not prevent me from visiting again. They are; The bed. Although king sized (very large) it was a bit lumpy. I slept very well anyway. The second thing was the breakfast. The selection of hot items was few. And those things were not hot(temperature-wise). All in all I will definitely stay at the Hawthorn Suites again next time I'm in Corpus Christi.

The Hawthorne suites, was very clean, friendly, and basically enjoyable. The location was great for the activities we were doing, and we found it very easy to get from once place to another. The staff was friendly and the breakfast's were great !! We are breakfast people and that is very important. The beds were not the most comfortable, but then again we were'nt home. We had a very enjoyable trip.

Comfortable king size bed. Air conditioning unit was very noisy. Okay value for the money.

I felt quite fortunate when we were able to get a reservation for a room from one day to the next during Spring Break. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were able to check in without any problems. The room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. However, when we went to the pool/hot tub area, the water in the hot tub was very, very cold. It was pretty windy when we were out there, and we understand that the pool water would be chilly, but not the hot tub. When I informed the staff at the front desk about the temperature, I was told that we'd have to wait until the next day to see if somebody could come check it out as nobody was available anymore that day. Since we had only booked the room for one night, we were unable to utilize these facilities during our stay. Aside, from the cold water, we enjoyed all the other ammenities.

Liked the in do hot tub when it worked that would be it. Did not like most features where down or did not work well. You could not even get a out of date VHS tape theater machine was broken too. You can get far nicer for less money all over the area. Place where you call for towels they don't have you come and get them yourself.

The Hawthorn Suites was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. However, with this property being one of the newer hotels, there were structural/maintenance issues that weren't resolved with our room. For instance, the wallpaper next to the window was bubbled and beginning to peel. The closet door was a sliding mirror which didn't slide very easily and the mirror was broken at the bottom next to the floor. The bathroom shower showed water damage to the wall where the wallpaper was peeling and looked like water was seeping down the inside of the wall creating a rust around the tub. There was even small evidence of mold. Other than these issues we enjoyed our stay there. The clerk was very friendly and actually new the Corpus Christi area and the area attractions. The other drawback of this hotel is the location from the highway. When coming from the airport it is difficult and confusing to get to due to the converging of multiple highways.

Very convenient location. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was not that good. Very convenient to all the places I had to go. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the quiet even though right on S.Padre Island Dr. I heard no traffic noise. Staff was really nice. Breakfast was mundane. I've had much better. Coffee was good, though. I'll stay there again this summer.

Breakfast included suite style. Noisy at night. For the $ this was a perfect suite style hotel for an unplanned getaway during a busy holiday weekend. Staff was helpful but hotel was packed and noisy on Saturday night.

Clean rooms, and cool AC. A king size bed and ended up with a double bed room. Was dissatisfied with reservation, because I reserved King bed and got double beds.Wanted suite, and got family room.

Very close proximity to various dining types & highways. Too many youngsters running amok - not hotel's fault. Facilities looked new and very clean. Staff was helpful and always around. The pool needs to be patrolled more actively as it is accessible from the parking lot and seems locals have found this to be an easy place to enter and have access to pool.

Location was ok and the room was clean. The web page says studio suite and it turned out to be a 1 room with a sofa added. The happy our only Monday thru Thursday. Families travel on weekend. I have stayed at other Hawthorns and the rooms were a lot bigger.A suite to me means separate bedroom. I have stayed in studio suites but they were good size for the kids to move around and parents get to rest. This one seemed like a bed was removed and a sofa was added. The hot breakfast was cold and found no one to ask about a microwave until we were almost done eating. Left it at that and did not complain.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub needed cleaning and treatment. The hotel is easy to find and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The inside of the hotel and our room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was about a 4 on a scale of 1- 10.However, the pool and Hot Tub needed cleaning. The water in the hot tub needed to be checked and treated with chemicals because it smelled like old socks.

Convenient to job site. Many of the amenities did not work; room was stuffy, cold humid. Nice hotel at first glance. Has a lot of amenities (whirl pool, dry heat sauna, exercise room, etc) but they did not work. The room was very stuffy, too cold even with the air turned off and very humid. Clothes were constantly damp. Stayed 9 days, but would look for another hotel next time.
