Date of Stay:

our confermation showed two queen beds but they would only give us one king.
Date of Stay:
March, 2009
The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, restaurants and shopping. The room was very clean and fresh, hotel locale seemed very safe. We had to maneuver through other parking lots to get to it. We loved it, had clean room, fresh linens, very comfortable bed. We would recommend to friends and would stay again. We enjoyed our short stay. Breakfast was hot, variety of foods to choose and fresh fruit was great! The hotel staff we encountered were very friendly, eager to please and helpful with their knowledge of the area to get us around town easily.

We've stayed at the Hawthorn 3 times during 2008/2009 with good success. The rooms have plenty of room. Have stayed in the non-smoking, 2 Queen, rooms. Beds are comfortable, rooms clean. Excellent breakfast on-site.
Date of Stay:
February, 2008
Upon check in to this hotel we were given a room that shared a wall with a common area of the hotel where breakfast is served and in general where people would gather. Traveling with an infant who naps and not knowing the thickness of the walls I thought it best to avoid this room. The second room we got did not have a functioning deadbolt. The third room we decided would just have to do, despite the running toilet. The luggage cart we'd been rolling around was on it's last leg, literally with four flat tires. When you walk into the two room suite it feels like you're in a big box. The first room is the living room and has no windows and small hotel quality furniture. The second room is the bedroom and contains the AC unit. We had ours set at 68. The unit would run for 45 minutes making it freezing in the room, and then not run at all making it uncomfortably warm. I guess the 68 is just an average. Our friends experienced this in their room as well. Midstay our key card stopped working. The desk clerk reprogrammed it for me no questions asked, no proof of who I was. I could not believe it. Just handed me a key for a room I said I stayed in. A big security mishap in my opinion. Especially since our door latch is hanging on by one screw.Positives of the hotel.... the breakfast buffet was really nice. The wireless internet is really nice. The location is also nice. Maybe if you're not traveling with an infant you might find this hotel acceptable but I know I wouldn't stay here again.

There was hair in the sinks, long dark hair, a dead roach in the bath tub and smelled musty. I expected more for the price I paid for one night.
Date of Stay:

Very comfortable and friendly staff. I have nothing bad to say. It was what I was looking for in a room, large enough and kitchen amities, close to all the areas I wanted to see. Very nice.

When I checked in I was not told that the air conditioning knobs were removed and that you had to use the thermostat. The front desk clerks consisted of students more interested in studying and socializing than helpint the guests. I found no toilet paper in my room. The phone did not work. When I asked for help for a rental car I was given a card to a number no longer available. Unless your an Aggie fan I would avoid this motel. It is not worth it.

The room was perfect. I would highly recommend staying here!
Date of Stay:

The continentalbreakfast was really good. One cannot get a good night's sleep due to loud noise from air conditioning units. Hotel lobby and eating facility is very good for the price. Rooms are clean and well kept. However, unless you are a heavy sleeper you will not get a good night's rest due to the loud noises from the air condition units. Strategically located. Ready access to major highways.

We had a room with a king size bed and a pull out sofa bed. I know sofa beds are not the greatest but this one was abominable. The mattress was nasty and fel through at the foot. My son is 6'2" and was very uncomfortable.

Excellent location for someone who needs to go to the university. Close to local restaurants. The room was very conducive for studying. Internet connection was fast. However, the parking lot needs more lighting.

Convenience and cleanliness. Great location. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Suites are very roomy, especially comfortable for longer stays. Staff always helpful. Great for Aggie football games and usually lots of alumni with their families stay there. Only downside is that there's not business center.

This hotel was amazing. The beds were incredibly comfortable and clean. I woke up every morning feeling refreshed. The continental breakfast was great. They even had a catered social hour on Wednesday. I would definitely stay there again if I ever had to go back to College Station. A+.

The Hawthon Suites in College Station was just what we needed for our trip to A&M. It was very close to the College and easy to find. I am sure we will stay there the next time we have to go to Texas A&M

Room was large. Air conditioner leaked with water on carpet.

Convenient location; accommodated our needs. Weren't able to answer questions about activities around town.

I was given a smoking room, neither my spouse or I smoke and my spouse is asmatic.

The staff was great, theAC wasexcellent, good parking. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was clean, quiet (even though it was sold out due to Hurricane Ike), plenty of parking, walking distance to restaurants. Most of all, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We will happily stay here again.

Large rooms, was a suite. Furniture was beat up. Good value. It was a true 1 bedroom suite, and had plenty of room. Could have been a little cleaner and the furniture showed a lot of wear and tear.
