Bad Ischl is at the heart of the Salzkammergut region of Austria. It is an ideal location for holidays at any time of the year. It is a historic town, once the summer retreat of the Austrian royal family. Today it blends a mix of traditional charm with modern facilities including the top class Eurotherme thermal spa.

Bad Ischl makes a good centre for exploring this beautiful region. There is excellent walking, cycling and golf. In winter there is skiing on the Katrinalm or at one of 6 other ski areas within easy driving distance. It is easy to explore the nearby lakeside villages of St Gilgen and St Wolfgang, UNESCO heritage village of Hallstatt, the Dachstein mountains and the cities of Salzburg and Linz.
